Christopher H (ru) wrote: In Josh Radnor's directorial debut, "HappyThankYouMorePlease" is a subtle drama about a writer taking in a young, African American boy left on the subway. The film never quite digs as deep as we hope, floundering with three love stories, when it should stick to one, yet it delivers Radnor in a new role, hopefully opening up roles outside of "How I Met Your Mother", even if the persona of Ted Moseby is engrained in his image. Kate Mara is stunning, as the high point of the film, begging the question of why her career hasn't entirely taken off yet. Zoe Kazan also delivers an endearing performance. Radnor's writing and directing may not have reached its peak with this film, but it screams independent film in the best of ways, hitting its mark without slapping us with romanticism.

Kyle J (es) wrote: Not a bad movie. It seemed a bit slow, but it was otherwise entertaining. I'm not very familiar of the Sukeban storyline though it did make me interested in seeing what the original was like. I'm not sure when I will find the time to do it, but it does have my interest.
Jamin M (ru) wrote: As a sequel to Bambi, this is actually enjoyable. The animation is very pretty and well done. It's great to see these characters again. What I like most about Bambi 2 is that the story focuses more on the relationship between Bambi and his father, something that was lacking in the original. The relationship between them is really nice and emotional, with Bambi trying to prove to his father that he is a worthy successor and his father not really knowing how to raise him but trying his best to teach him how to be a good Great Prince. I think Bambi 2 is a worthy Disney sequel and definitely one of my favorites. It's not as good as the original, but I think it's worth a look
Giorgio P (mx) wrote: Its got some great shots but the pace is off and the story telling and performances are laughable. The point where the story turns sour happens so suddenly that by the time I'm in the third act i just don't give a shit. The ending is really dissapointing.

Mark B (it) wrote: Take the aesthetics of tear-jerking movies like Imitation of Life or Magnificent Obsession, set them on the Russian Front and in Germany in 1944, and you get some idea of this film. A melange of melodrama, camp, death, and a short appearance by Klaus Kinski as a heartless Gestapo clerk, ATTLAATOD is actually a pretty good film. Especially weird is to see those loveable mugs, the Wehrmacht , dealing with Russian partisans. The truly fun part of the film happens when Ernst Graeber goes home on leave and makes time with good girl Elizabeth Kruse. Every time they go on a date, the USAAF bombs the shit out of them. And of course there are the symbolic characters like Joseph, the hiding hateless Jew, and the Heine, the infantile piano prodigy who happens to burn people alive at his own concentration camp. Still, though, I liked this movie a lot. Nothing else liked appeared in American films until Peckinpaugh's Cross of Iron in 1977. Whatever else you want to say about Sirk, he used the widescreen to great effect,
Richard M (nl) wrote: I really disliked this film for a few main reasons. The poor attempt at a plot, the confusing moments in each chapter were I didn't know what was happening or who was saying what, and the dodgy camering and quality didn't help. The idea of the story is a good one, which shows a real insight into Italy at the end of WW2, but wasn't well enough set out

The two have a real Bonnie and Clyde spirit, and it was great seeing their interaction. Shame the movie's story is so bad.
