The movie mainly covers flashbacks to various time periods and as they overlap, you'll get more and more confused with the plot. That is exactly where they want you; for the big punch line. Which is a let down... Would have been a good movie as a stand alone but then again, might have been too complex given the confused timeline and the many characters. Being the third of the trilogy, I expected action, twists, depth and an overwhelming ending. Only got the ending. :(

Poor casting, bland humour, and a whole host of ridiculous scenes make this film excruciatingly boring to watch. It's hard to care about anything that's at stake, and the childish attempts at humour don't work when this film isn't trying to be like Johnny English (2003). Give this a miss!
(jp) wrote: This is a solid action revenge historical epic. I view this as a precursor to the also excellent gangs of New York. What can I say? The storyline line is thrilling. Ridley Scott's directing is top notch, the action is excellent and Russell Crowe gives a powerhouse performance in the lead role. I don't personally think it's the best movie of 2000, but I can understand why it won the academy award for best picture. Overall, a solid must see and it can also really inspire people.
