I want my two hours back please. Rob Lowe is shocking, the plot is thin as a tart's nickers, and the script is about as well put together as a Soviet tractor. Possibly the worst film I've ever seen

iked the Killings. . . Always liked Kevin Bacon , but he's not the leadactor in this one

I hated the first 3D documentary Cameron did and never wanted to see this one

Still a watchable film, but not as good as expected. It was a classic to some people, but to me it was overrated and outdated. It was well acted and it was an uplifting movie, but it was insanely predictable, cheesy, and had a lot less to do with sports than I expected

Tout aussi bon que le premier !

It's an ugly, unpleasant film. He has a semi-decent cast here, but everyone overacts their paper thin roles. The movie is terribly paced and really choppy, as if a lot of necessary connecting bits were never shot. Setting plot problems aside for a minute, the real problem is that King clearly has no idea how to direct a movie. All his attempts to explain why killer trucks are attacking folks are awful (and the arbitrary last minute resolution to this explanation is insulting). For a story so clearly modeled on "The Birds", King has clearly not learned the lesson that the less explanation you provide for a ridiculous scenario, the better off you are. Not the best material in "Night Shift", but fun stuff. The short story that it's based on is okay. This film is garbage. Stephen King really has no business saying that Stanley Kubrick did not know how to make a horror film

Slow moving and blunt ending, but enjoyable none the less. Magnum springs to mind. Very 80s detective

Pity really. The action is half-baked and cartoonish, Clint looks out of place while Burt hams it up to the nines, and while it has good intentions to be a cheeky homage to cop films of the 1930's, it feels dated and corny. When Murphy's partner Diehl Swift (Richard Roundtree) is murdered by Primo's goons, and a briefcase full of money has gone missing, and Murphy's current squeeze, rich socialite Caroline Howley (Madeline Kahn) ends up being kidnapped by Pitt, Speer and Murphy have to team up to bring down Pitt's gang and stop a crime war from escalating in Kansas City. Speer and Murphy used to be together on the force years previous, they couldn't stand each other then, and they can't stand each other now. Set in Kansas City in 1933, it has former cop turned Private Investigator Mike Murphy (Burt Reynolds) teaming up with Lieutenant Speer (Clint Eastwood) with a case involving crime kingpin Primo Pitt (Rip Torn). What a wasted opportunity, this action-comedy was originally to have been written and directed by Blake Edwards, who was then dismissed by either one of it's stars, maybe both, and replaced by Richard Benjamin (My Favorite Year (1982) and The Money Pit (1986)), had Edwards not been sacked, it might have been worth it, but as it stands, it's just a soulless, unfunny mess

Sounds like a classic
