Ivan D (au) wrote: I think this one the most boring movies i ever watched! Ryan Reynolds did some good acting here but I still didn't like the movie which was only filmed in the coffin. The middle to the last build momentum but its not worth it. I cant understand why the critics like this movie.

Ben M (it) wrote: Now, while this movie was awful, it actually managed to keep my interest, even through it's extremely slow first hour, and silly plot. Not sure what the connection to Day of the Dead is, though...

Tim M (ru) wrote: Best I've seen since Slither. "Lush photography of the beautiful New Zealand hills combines with skin ripping mayhem and over-the-top humor to make one of the funniest of the new wave zombie satires yet." "This lurid lunacy is a cross-breed of animal lore and giddy gore." "Brisk, rambunctious splatter-comedy." "Impeccably filmed, echoes early Sam Raimi and Peter Jackson, but it has its own unique energy, and it's a must-see."

Marjeta M (fr) wrote: Legendarily terrible, which is why it is a cult classic.

Sam B (kr) wrote: From a time when the best horror directors of the 80's wanted to apparently do one for the fans. Like every anthology film ever made, none of the segments are on par with each other and there is a great divide of quality between them. John Carpenter appears right off as a crypt keeper like coroner who tells us the stories. Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper, Roger Corman, Sam Raimi and others all appear as well. This movie succeeds partially because of all of the fun cameos and the stylistic way that Carpenter shoots the first two segments. While the second segment is strange and not even trying to be scary, the third Hooper directed segment is just lame. This is a real mixed bag but its a great way to get geared up for Halloween.

Aaron E (ru) wrote: This is one of those weird 80's movies where everyone was on drugs that had anything to do with it, but it almost works. However it doesn't quite. It's really kooky, and far out with this plot but I enjoyed Cusack and Robbins performances enough to give it this high of a rating.
