Darrin C (ru) wrote: Not bad for unrealistic action - plenty of it in fact and Vin Diesel is tough, but a little too surreal. Still better than it's sequel.

Ryan V (fr) wrote: The original crew gets to end their run on a high note. What better way to send them off than with one last struggle against an evil Klingon? There are beautifully done Cold War overtones here. Since that conflict was winding down, it made sense to have the Federation and Klingons make a move towards peace. At the end of the day though, this is successful because of the chemistry and humor between a cast that worked together over several decades. The final scene of the crew flying off into space one last time always leaves me with a smile on my face. As they embark one last time, Kirk is asked where they should set a course for. With a grin Shatner says, "Second star to the right. And straight on till morning."

Bruce C (kr) wrote: This is a wonderful, clever, funny spoof a teen monster-in-the-water movie. It has great dialog, stellar actors, good photography and a 30-foot crocodile. What's missing that disappointed so many viewers? No skinny-dipping. In fact, no sexual content at all. Well, this isn't a movie for shallow teens trying to get laid on a Friday night. The jewel in the crown is Betty White in one of the funniest performances of her career. Highly recommended--but only if you are deeper than a rain puddle.

Raji K (mx) wrote: Disney presents Tarzan. This is not the first time they have presented a kid in the Jungle, as they did many years ago in the classic The Jungle Book. Tarzan is a well known and defined story in its own right, but it has never been one of my favorites. In Disney's version he is raises by gorillas til he becomes an adult. Somehow his childhood friends do not appear to grown up with him. When humans enter the jungle, he comes across a hunter Clayton the main antagonist of the film. Clayton a Gaston like villain but not as memorable. Tarzan falls in love with another human Jane, and begins to follow his heart and learn the ways of humans. The story unfolds in a typical fashion, and features sub-par songs. Tarzan is clearly the beginning of the decline for animated Disney films as this is a bottom tier 2 Disney animated picture.
