It was interesting but seemed a bit far fetched in parts. Quite a cool look & style this film had set just after WW2.Both love interests gave great supporting roles, but overall it was silly to make this boy famous for his love affairs, goes to show how trivial media will be just to have a so called 'scoop'....

A shadow falls over the relationship when Hondo later kills her errant husband in self defence. A superior western, perhaps a little too low key to be a true classic, but very watchable. The side-plot involving Apache chief Vittorio is handled pretty sensitively for the time.

I appreciate the lack of ethnic humour and 4th wall breaking that he usually succumbs to. Still holds up well, although not the revelation it was then. Just a well-made movie with light spoofiness and more emphasis on character and plot comedy.
