Michael H (ag) wrote: See No Evil 2becomes a slasher that??s solidly made, decently acted, and attractively shot??but utterly predictable. Kane once again makes for a physically imposing monster, and the Soskas set up some decent kills, with a good mix of practical and digital effects, but the only real twist on the genre here is that it ends with a ??final boy?? instead of a ??final girl.??

Michael W (jp) wrote: Not really a comedy, though it tries in a few choice moments and succeeds. The flow of the intercut stories is terrible and stays too long in one place. Not terrible, but not good either.

Vuk S (gb) wrote: A pretty retarded parody, which you could have guessed just from the fact that Leslie Nielsen is in it. Most of the jokes are centered towards mocking Michael Moore and Talibans. The thing I hated the most was probably how the producers dared to use a joke from The Onion Movie, not reproduce it but use the whole exact scene.

Andy P (mx) wrote: Ron Howard likes to blame the failure of this movie on "The Truman Show" which was released just under a year before this and was winning awards right as this film was being released. This, my friends, is a clean cut case of denial. It's just a bad movie, with a phoned in performance by McConaughey.

max h (jp) wrote: Lacking much of the spark of the original trilogy, this installment seems very much like the enjoyable cash grab that it is. The new direction of Rob Marshall also lacks the scope and fun of Gore Verbinski. Why would you hire a guy who has never done an action picture to direct a four-quel in an action oriented franchise? Don't you almost deserve the the lackluster pile you get from it?

Brandon W (it) wrote: Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is directed and co-written by Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone, and it stars Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer in a mockumentary comedy about a boy band who is popular in that world, but does a lot of dumb stuff that starts to become a downfall to them. When it's terms of films, Akiva Schaffer never seem to got a film that everyone agrees that it's a good one whether it be Hot Rod, which I only thought was decent at best, and The Watch, which for I remember was not a funny film but has some great action scenes. So for this film to realize that The Lonely Island is back to what they were popular at, making songs which got me curious to see this, and this is definitely Akiva Schaffer's best film so far. The acting from The Lonely Island is pretty good that they are just having a lot of fun being in this film. The mockumentary aspect is done well as it feels like the characters are actual people from tons of cameos of musicians and singers who talk about Style Boyz or Connor4Real. The writing by The Lonely Island gives out a ton of jokes that were pretty funny, and entertaining songs that are the best part of the movie which is cool that they made almost 30 songs that never felt that they weren't getting careless. The characters are great to watch, and it's really clever with the persona of the main character who acts a little bit like Justin Bieber in terms of what he has done. The only small issues that I have are that some of the jokes don't really land, and you know where it's going in terms of the plot. As is, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping is a really great film that I'm sad to see that it didn't get any money back that it deserves to get.
