Act three -- mom escapes and becomes a vigilante badass who hunts down carjacker, finds his bank robbery money and kills him. Somehow even though the police are on the scene right after all this happens, she's able to walk away with the cash (the average bank heist nets less than $10K) and seems to be set for life. There is no apparent police investigation and the whole thing is tied up with a neat bow as her deadbeat ex-husband (aren't they ALL?) is ordered to pay child support. I bet he has a hard time using the washer/dryer too.
(fr) wrote: This is a pretty wild film, about a spot on the wall that grows into a killer. Has it's intense moments. Not a real slasher flix but somewhere in between horror and lasher. would have been better as a short story.

But they prob didn't no it wood have been his final movie. They also hyped the fuk out of the soundtrack, which wasn't that gd, but I rekon I mite check out sum of Tupac's stuff. Gd 2 c some strong performances by Gary Cole and Earl Jones.

(br) wrote: The first short was amazing. The angles and shots were amazing so imaginative. The mixture of Opera in the whole story was beautiful. As the story progressed the opera became the teeth of the killer. A very interesting use of soundtrack from innocent to sinister, which i haven't seen used before. Regretfully the other two stories did not have as original shots, music, or story ideas.

(de) wrote: The best of the franchise, the plot, the characters, the way it was directed, i thought it was the right way to do a Freddy Krueger film. What makes this movie so good is that it delivers the fact that there's these people upset that they can't sleep, and they are crying for help, but don't seem to get it. They did a good job on casting Laurence Fishbourne as Max, the doctor and is a real credit to the kids. I liked how the plot goes to another level when they find out who Freddy is when Nancy(Heather Langengcamp) announces that she is the one who had her moments with him.
(de) wrote: All of Dario Argento's films are unique in some way. Tenebre is a story about a copycat killer re-enacting murders from the titular novel by American writer Peter Neal, who is in Rome promoting his book. The gory setpieces are sheer spectacle and the murder mystery is classic 'giallo'. Only on this occasion the giallo is self-referential, apparently a response from Argento himself at accusations of misogyny levelled at him in the past by the media. Tenebre is Argento at his most visceral. The 'he's behind you shot' towards the end is genius and has to be one of the best single shots in horror cinema.

(ru) wrote: Wow this movie is just not good, the acting sucks, the horror is....not horror and the way the plot pans out is just ridiculous. Honestly if I was tired while watching I would've fallen asleep. My advice is to just leave this movie alone. Highly Unrecommended
(br) wrote: Sappy, dry, dramatic and boring. Hulk (2003) has some aspects I like such as the three lead characters, the villain is meh, the Hulk scenes are pretty cool and it does have some interesting ideas. But this film is very slow paced, filled with pretty wooden dialogue and is too drama heavy rather than fueling us comic book fans with more action. Overall this film is a misguided attempt at a Hulk film.

Out of all the deep sea films of the day (Abyss, Deep Star Six) Leviathan still manages to rank very high on my enjoyment radar while the Abyss, though pretty, isn't as enjoyable. I love the sets and the practical FX. The cast is really good to boot. Peter Weller, Amanda Pays, Ernie Hudson??? Hellooooo!Leviathan is great underwater creature feature fun that I have no problem watching yearly.
