Brett H (it) wrote: Powerful performance by Chris Evans showing he's more than just a pretty face and can get down and dirty if need be. The story is actually very interesting and it's cool to know most hospitals now use the safer, retractable needles thanks to this character's efforts.

Hunter W (de) wrote: It's pacing is problematic, but it finds its footing in a terrific turn of villainy for Benedict Cumberbatch and moments of grand emotional impact.

Adam R (es) wrote: A watered-down sequel that doesn't quite match the luster of Johnny Tsunami, but for a 2007 DCOM it wasn't bad. Watchable at the very least. (First and only viewing - 10/15/2010)

Jamison R (fr) wrote: This is one that didn't need to be made. I like the actors individually, like Scott Bakula, but as a whole this is bad.

Sanna K (jp) wrote: This is by far the best screen adaptation of Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos

Eddie S (gb) wrote: When watching 'Shock Treatment', you have to throw all notions of a sequel to RHPS out the window. This movie, while sharing characters with RHPS, is somewhat darker than its cousin, and is billed "as equal" to its predecessor. Taking place in a television studio, we see much how Brad and Janet have come apart and how keen Janet is to fix the solution, or try to anyway. Brad is taken away in a straitjacket, drugged, and jailed in a cage for most of the film. Janet and her parents are sucked into the glamour of it all, used by Farley Flavors, the man behind the scenes.Using the Drs McKinley and game show host Bert Schnick as agents, Janet is convinced to become 'Mrs Mental Health", as the perfect 'girl-next-door' for Flavors new television programme "Faith Factory." Betty Munroe and Judge Wright, who are shown in the beginning after the DENTON introduction, have been pushed aside and being sympathetic to Brad, uncover some unsettling truths about the whole operation.Soon enough, Janet's ego rises to uncontrollable heights, at which point the McKinley's drug her to keep her under control."Faith Factory" premiers and using a performance by Janet's fans, Munroe and the Judge break Brad out of his Dentonvale jail and confront Flavors about his motives. Once found out, Flavors orders his brother, Janet, Munroe and the Judge arrested and once in custody, the audience is given straitjackets to wear and they all move towards the Dentonvale set.The foursome break out and drive out of the DTV studios, leaving the audience members behind to their fate in Flavors' new mental ward.A quite remarkable movie, with a soundtrack that right up there with RHPS, although some might disagree with me. It's important to think of both films as connected, but not related by content. Terribly underrated, quite delicious.

Andrew I (jp) wrote: I generally like clever noirs and this was highly rated on IMDB so I gave it a whirl. The plot was quite cleverly convoluted (apart from one major hole which totally spoiled it for me), the acting was ok, the print and cinematography were good for its age, the sharp dialogue didn't sparkle quite as much as it needed to and the music was kind of annoying. A bit of action, a dog, a few classic cars, anything, would've helped quite a bit, but alas... 6/10

Leonard D (ru) wrote: Half of this looked promising, but unfortunately, the suspense and scares were too predictable to point out! Jamie isn't quite that sympathetic here, since Ryan Kwanton had a hard enough time trying to act as Jason Stackhouse from True Blood. The man looks better playing a model than at having a career as an actor. Just ignore this flick if you find it!

Matthew A (it) wrote: Dredd is a brutal and stylish escape movie that takes too much inspiration from "the raid" tp be a classic but is different enough to be some of the most fun ive had in a cinema in a very long time.

Miguel R (fr) wrote: Heart-rending and emotional with Ben Kingsley in his most ambitious role, Gandhi is a timeless classic based on the life of the great Mahatma Gandhi, brilliantly portraying his journey for peace through non-violence and compassion!

Oliver B (kr) wrote: This movie is awful, even as a chick flick. Do not waste your time and money.

David S (au) wrote: An inspired performance by Toby Jones this film won't be to everyone's taste as it is quite slow and to begin with you don't understand why Baldwin deserves a story about him. However the whole thing is almost a smaller British 'Forrest Gump' and you can't help but be won over by Baldwin's optomism. The scenes with Curran's football manager are particularly endearing and also the clever idea of mixing the real Baldwin into scenes with Jones works well. An interesting curio.

Ryan B (fr) wrote: 1st act is great, but the movie doesn't really ever go anywhere, much like the protagonist.
