Mr. Deeds torrent reviews

Jolle L (gb) wrote: Not as bad as I expected it to be from the reviews. Could've easily been better. The soundtrack is pretty cool...Could've been melancholic like "The Crow". Could've been funny and dirty like "Machete" or gritty like "Sin City". With Robert Rodriguez, it would've been a much better movie. Lots of potential but quite flat in the end.

Logan M (de) wrote: It's much darker than "Rocky," but it can't help but feel like an echo of that film.

Erica E (us) wrote: Awesome. Just awesome. The inability to break character in this movie by Chris Parnell and Diedrich Bader is amazing.

JonTyler S (br) wrote: One of those comedies that comes around every once in a while. This film came out in 1991 and still holds. On the AFI's top 100 greatest comedies of all time, it is number 86.It's a simple story of three friends in a mid life crisis that go on a 200 mile cattle drive but while on this cattle drive, they learn the meaning of life and finding happiness. This flick is really enjoyable and leaves you with a smile on your face. Billy Crystal is hilarious in the film and all of the supporting cast is great.

Peter F (jp) wrote: One of the best loved art house releases of the 80s, and for justifiable reason. It's an elegiac film, that's use of both black-and-white and colored cinematography read like elegant prose. It's almost as impressive in terms of its soundtrack, which is composed of hymms, avant-garde songs, and rock music, yet never does any of it feel out of place. What delightful casting too, seeing that Peter Falk and Nick Cave both make captivating appearances as themselves in the picture. There is an aura of repetition in the film, and some ideas come off as a bit underutilized, but Wings of Desire remains a passionate love letter to Berlin, cinema, and the human spirit.

Andy P (kr) wrote: Mario Brava's debut is a gothic chiller of the kind that Universal mastered with their monster horrors of the 1930s and 40s, but with an eery and atmospheric style which uses lighting and shadow spectacularly well for spooky effect.

Aj V (ca) wrote: This is a fun Corman film, it's about juvenile delinquents, a girl gang to be specific. This movie is both realistic and at the same time exploitative. It's really interesting, and one of my favourite Corman movies.

Eytan D (it) wrote: "Alpha Dog", like "Thirteen", is a terrifying portrait of broken, damaged teens who succumb to a world of sex, drugs, and crime. It's hard to watch this one completely due to how violent and emotionally intense it can be, but it's definitely illuminating.

alex f (fr) wrote: Some interesting shooting/editing but no great difference from others spike lee films.

Alec B (mx) wrote: Terrible music and a weak plot line, couldn't create a successful sequel for the masterpiece that was the first film.

Sean D (es) wrote: It's good. Not awesome. Not excellent. Just good. Critics seem to love these traveling post-apocalyptic films. I'd say this film is like a lot of other films such as 28 Days Later mixed in with a bit of the game Left 4 Dead. The one thing is, I don't like the vampire films where the vampires act like ravenous zombies rather than actual vampires. These type of vampires are boring and annoying and have no depth. It was pretty bad, I kept thinking the vampires were zombies and kept forgetting that they wasn't the case. You really don't get character development at all in this film, and that seemed to have been to the point. Nothing wrong with that. I wish they put as much diversity into the vampires and towns as they did with the character selection. I swear it was just white people this whole film. The plot is your typical traveling post-apocalyptic film whereas the characters are heading the promised land of Canada. I didn't quite understand the ending of the film. But the film was fairly enjoyable, I recommend it. There were 7 webisode prequels that came around when the film was released, they are worth watching. I watched them after the film, I suppose you can do either.
