Since Helena Bonham Carter & Guy Pearce are my 2 favorites actors ever, I decided that I'd give it a go, knowing that even if it sucked, I'd have double eye candy for an hour and a half. But it was amazing! I haven't cried harder for any film other than the Fountain! Although parts were predictable, they were done in a very artistic way. I don't know. I'm totally surprised! And very, very pleased! (And he FINALLY used his real accent!)

Michael W (au) wrote: Tough and very violent exploitation film with Linda Blair and the Satins waging war with rival gang the Scars. Covers all the bases for exploitation fare, including a few fine montages with appropriate score. John Vernon does little but lecture as the school principal.
Mark N (fr) wrote: Aping Star Wars will always show you up when it comes to quality and the shameless shot-for-shot effects are both poor and show how much skill the original scene must have taken. The ships are actually rather detailed, if inexpertly shot, and help sell the movie but jar when compared to the terribly flat and under-dressed stage sets. The campy, stilted dialogue is hilariously bad and makes for high grade bad-movie watching fun.
