Being a police officer in this big-bad city called Mumbai can be quite some task. Mumbai, contrary to the other parts of the country, works on its own unique little philosophy...

Jon C (us) wrote: the Archie comic/cartoon makes its transfer to the big screenthe 3 leads are terrific; Rachel Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson, and Tara Reid expertly play the up-and-coming bandthe music is addictive and the story about subliminal messages brainwashing the youth of America is a cultural topic that feels realistic enough even if it does have a sci-fi vibe to itbut I have to agree 100% that the product-placement in every frame of the film is beyond unforgiveable; it becomes so damn distracting and shameful that you're supposed to be paying attention to the plot, I'm guessing they seriously needed to advertise so much stuff in order to get the money backstill as far as an adaptation of a popular girl-band goes this one is preferable enough for young girls
Michael J (us) wrote: I love French cinema, I love France, I really love The French. I did watch with an open mind. But this is just a piece of tripe. The dialogue was childish, the acting high school, and the directing was student YouTube quality. But, one has to wait for the absolutely hysterically funny death scene ending. It was so poorly actied and directed, I was bellied over sideways laughing so hard. Please, you have to watch this movie just to kill the myth that this is a classic. The more people who see it, the more the myth will disappear.
David L (jp) wrote: It starts somewhat good, it has solid acting and it can be endearing at times, but Oliver! is unfortunately the worst 1960s Best Picture winner thanks to its boring tone, problematic pacing, very weak songs that all feel similar to each other plus the film seems that it could only be enjoyed by the eyes of a child. In a year of Planet of the Apes, Night of the Living Dead and not to mention a classic 2001: A Space Odyssey, all of which not even nominated, this choice from the academy seems rather notorious nowadays.

Darrin C (ru) wrote: The true "trilogy" should be as follows: Planet, Escape, and this one, Conquest. Though this one I rated the weakest of the 3, I don't even include 2 and 5 because they are so bad. This one is relevant and is a good metaphor for revolution even in our times.
