Michael B (it) wrote: Too, too much preciousness. I am a huge fan of surrealism, but this is an overdose. The effects overwhelm any storyline there was. I stayed the full 2+ hours, but wanted to leave after 30 minutes.

William W (it) wrote: With this having been the first DH film I ever watched (and the only one so far I have seen upon its original theatrical release), I hold a quiet sense of satisfaction that over time it seems to have become generally people's favourite of the series, next to the original. It is much more original than its predecessor, and has much higher-caliber supporting players in Jeremy Irons and Samuel L. Jackson--not to mention the best director the franchise has ever had. This was great to see once again, and I STILL have nightmares with that wicked Katya (played by composer Sam Phillips) slicing my head off...

Jack W (es) wrote: I had never seen a Harold Lloyd film but I came away impressed. I don't think he is at the level of Chaplin and Keaton but he did have skill. The film has some good moments but in the end doesn't stack up to Keaton's College. I'm not sure if this was intended but the early intertitles for the film skewer American fascination with football and the role of college which to me is ironic in light of how much things haven't changed in 100 years.

Cody C (br) wrote: Absolutely wonderful movie, with laughs, romance, sad stuff, suspense, everything you could ask for. And great cinematography and acting and blah blah blah. Just see it. Sophia Loren is brilliant. Hugely underrated actress. And De Sica is a genius.

Lauri A (de) wrote: This is a film Jim Carrey doesn't overact in. He surprised me like he surprised me in "The Truman Show". This movie just goes to show that he can act if he chose too. The film was well done and offered perspective. I highly recommend watching this. (not with children)

Harold S (br) wrote: I hate wrestling and wasn't expecting much but I really like Darren Aronofsky so I gave it a shot and I was pleasantly surprised by rourkes acting and how the movie admits wrestling is fake but is still intense fight theater

Rafael P (gb) wrote: Comea muito lento, mas a cena final valeu cada minuto. Recomendo.
