Anti R (ca) wrote: Racist film where people who open up on a foreign culture (in this film, Asian culture) are ridiculed and presented as members of a cult. Disgusting

Elisa R (us) wrote: This film tries to be much of things. It could be called the "other man and another woman 36 years after" and to him carries us London, Paris, and in Morocco. They both suffer from the stops totals and the amnesia which can be caused by tumours of brain - naturally, they were supposed to meet. I read the album "piano bars", a collection sorted with the hand of the popular love Lelouch inspired by songs to make this film where Kaas debuted as an actress. Its songs kept film together because there were too many stories mixing and though they were very interesting and constraining, it were not easy simply to maintain all they. I do not think that I will want to re-examine it soon any time but I will order CD of Patricia Kaas and I will often listen to him.

Edward C (it) wrote: This is one of the most terrifying accounts of the atrocities which took place during World War II. In terms of realism it far surpasses Schindler's List, to the extent that it's quite frankly hard to sit through. But the sheer realism is also what makes it such an important piece of filmmaking. Plot/ Summary During WWII, the death camp at Treblinka had an escape, causing the Commandant at a similar camp in Sobibor to vow (actually threaten) that his camp would never experience the same thing. But those who were its captives, the Jewish laborers that had been spared from the ovens, knew that they were on borrowed time and that their only hope was to escape... the only question was how to do it. However, because the Germans would kill an equal number of others whenever a group attempted to escape, the captives knew that if ever an escape was tried, all 600 prisoners in the camp would have to be included... logistically precluding any ideas about tunnels or sneak breakouts. Indeed, to have such a mass escape could only mean that the Ukrainian guards and Germain officers would have to be killed, which many of the Jews felt simply reduced themselves to no better than their captors... thus making it a struggle of conscience. And therein lies the story, with the film being based on a factual account of what then happened at that Sobibor prison. My ReviewThis prison that i have never hear of before reminds me of Alcatraz is so hard to escape but more then 300 jews made all because of Leon in this exciting prison movie. Yet there are better prison movies this is another one of those besties.

Charlie M (es) wrote: A surreal black & white film about Sandy Baker, a successful filmmaker who attends his career retrospective at a seaside hotel for the weekend. There he encounters fans, critics, ex-girlfriends & aliens."They want laughs in Kansas City, they been working in the wheat fields all day."This film plays out as a dreamy meta-commentary on success within creativity. Influenced by Fellini, Allen is besieged with celebrity requests for autographs and opinions from a collective oddity of human beings, all with the strangest faces. He wanders into abandoned dance halls and gazebos on the shoreline discussing his work, with constant interruption from the unhinged mass who speak with anxiety & adoration."I would trade that oscar for one more second of life."I first saw this movie in 2006 and enjoyed it. Upon 2nd viewing I now love it for removing narrative and focusing on the emotional truth that comes with an overwhelming situation. This feels like a new period for the director with total freedom within his creativity. His first movie without Diane Keaton since 1972, look for cameos from Laraine Newman, Daniel Stern & Sharon Stone.

Tyler G (au) wrote: best gialli i've ever seen that wasn't directed by Argento. a very interesting twist from the typical maniacal killer in a lot of gialli sets this apart, as this movie makes a whole lot more sense than most of its peers. though not overtly visual, it stands out with its sharp focus, smooth structure, and consistent style. Solange is the classic giallo formula pulled off perfectly.
