(de) wrote: I was not disappointed by this movie. Maybe not the best movie out there. However, I thought it was good regardless
(de) wrote: The nuances and complexities of the novel weren't translated well into the movie, leaving it dull and one dimensional. Character interpretations were wooden. Lovely cinematography and costumes.
(nl) wrote: A Nice Atmospheric Teen Horror/Thriller Which Isn't Great But At The Same Time It's Not A Disaster. Joy Ride Is An Enjoyable Thriller Which Uses It's Atmosphere In Exactly The Right Way To Keep The Attention Of It's Audience. Is It Corny In Some Places, Yes, Clichd, Of Course. This Film Has A Great Script And Boasts Some Great Performances From It's Cast. The Film Itself Definitely Reaches Almost It's Full Potential.

(mx) wrote: Weird I haven't seen this already...now I get all the parodies...anyway, very witty and great cinematography as usual with Quentin Tarantino, also great music and no good guys...I got a thing for wanting to be able to sympathize with someone other than a bit character...otherwise, quite good :)

(mx) wrote: Surprisingly good '80s adventure film saturated in a keyboard soundtrack. Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer with Mathew Broderick make this film work triumphantly.
(jp) wrote: Normally I roll my eyes at movies as sentimental as this, but there's something sincere & straightforward about Starman that appeals to me. The key might be Jeff Bridges, at first he plays his stranded alien character for laughs, but as the movie progresses we start rooting for him to fall in love & find his way home. It's an 80s cult flick worth seeing
(gb) wrote: dialog and acting are like a documentary...nice use of POV shots, and great B&W. An interesting comment on culture

(jp) wrote: Very funny entry in the Road films, Bob and Bing catch a ride on an ocean liner headed for Brazil and they try to save Dorothy from her evil aunt. Some really great laughs and entertaining songs throughout the film. Good ending too. My favorite line in the film "Do you like sugar on your ketchup?".
(de) wrote: A classic action movie. Bruce Willis is the perfect choice for the hero. Alan Rickman is also really good as the now classic Hans Gruber, even though it's been overshadowed by Severus Snape. The action is intense and riveting. I know this will anger many people, but this, in my opinion, this is NOT a Christmas movie, it is an action/dark comedy.
