Chris P (fr) wrote: Dark and compelling debut from director Gavras who has come from a predominantly music video background. A superb performance from lead Vicente Cassel is perhaps marred by a lack lustre supporting cast, a story of struggle, rebellion and perversion is told in some style. I look forward to what the future holds for Romain Gavras, an up and coming director with confidence and raw talent.

Lilo C (nl) wrote: My Previous review I like when Dolph Lundgren direct Movies. I have seen several of Movies he directed and it shows his talent as an Actor and Director. The only problem with this Movie, the bad guy: Why do the Bad Guys always look so ugly? However, rather then Schwarznegger, Dolph Lundgren hasnt lost that touch of a "Cool Action Dud" He gets better the older he gets. A Cheesy Quote I have ever heardNatalya: Men know how to kill, women how to survive. AND NOW! I really regret to have given this Movie GODDANM FIVE STARS, WAS I HIGH OR SOMETHING?! I think I was, since I gave this piece of eh Naw not Crap but some sort of BAD stuff. I must have be mistaken by the Movie title?

Jordan K (br) wrote: Barnyard is a mediocre animated film by Steve Oedekerk, best known for his work in Kung Pow, but suffers from a simply depressing plotline, noticably corny animation, and unfunny jokes. I do seem to have a soft spot for it for its television adaptation I grew up with, Back at the Barnyard.Part Toy Story and part Charlotte's Web, Barnyard follows what barn animals do when humans aren't looking, which includes mostly partying and annoying other humans - at least to Otis, whose father Ben, also the leader of the barnyard animals, disapproves of. Ben is killed by a group of rabid coyotes and Otis is put in charge, a job he isn't ready for.Barnyard's cons include its unique yet bland animation styles, its consistently unfunny jokes, bland minor characters, and its plot full of grieving from Otis. It teaches a lesson, sure, but its atmosphere is a bit dark for kids, reminding me of The Lion King's dark atmosphere but rapid turn to a completely different care free world. Barnyard is the same thing in every scene, Otis parties and the big joke is that animals are doing human things. The pros are it's a fun movie mostly, and the scenes not filled with grief are silly but undeniably fun. Barnyard's popularity into a TV show feels forced, the film not being so memorable or all that good. It's a film that seems conflicted on how to handle certain messages...

Hayeus R (jp) wrote: Amazing action sequences. Puts most American flicks where you cant fucking see whats going on to shame. Don't watch this one for the story though.

Greg N (it) wrote: If you understand this movie you're either smarter than me or insane. I'll lean toward insane. The only thing I can say about this is that Pasolini had a real future using Terence Stamp who's pretty good in this. A bizarre combination of creep and saint. His looks which come off somewhere between faded pretty boy and a thug works pretty well in Pasolini's gay film scape. Then again Terence Stamp has always been the go to guy for being fey and masculine at the same time. Like if Charles Broson got it on with Tinkerbell from Peter Pan.

Richard B (kr) wrote: Great story. Not for those who prefer romanticism.

Jacob R (us) wrote: The first hour flirts with some cool things while never matching the intelligence or feel of the first film, but after that it becomes laughably bad.
