Ryland D (ca) wrote: I get where it's going with the whole stupid-for-the-sake-of-fun thing and I can see why people would fully enjoy themselves watching it but that just wasn't me. I've seen too much like it and it doesn't really cover any new ground in the horror comedy genre. Remember, you can still be clever when writing a movie about nazi zombies!

Radek C (jp) wrote: Someone has seen way too many Lynch's films... and the message seems to be - take your time while selecting films to watch, as this one is a tricky one. Appears to be a mysterious drama, but turns out, well, not so great.

hattie d (nl) wrote: Very god film, cleave use of words and the way they can be miss understood, really good, won't tell you what happenes, but the ending is so shocking, but really amazing film, based on a true story, really shocking but anazing a really good film.

(other than what's written above) This kind of bored me, Unless I just wasn?t in the proper mood for it. a widow thinks she hears her late husband?s voice. the movie starts out as Her younger sister trying to help her get ready for a date & hopefully a proposal. While she strolls along the beach to meet her boyfriend. She hears the disembodied voice of her late hubby on the surf. She comes upon a man standing w/ a crow or raven next to him that sounds like its laughing. The man she meets here is Lexis or lexus oh its Alexis. (ok for a guy tho!!) so the dude is suppose to be psychic. He tries to help but says to talk to the spirt. Is he a fake? Is The late husand really dead? I have to re watch myself to find out!! For what I saw there was some interesting ?hunting? going on. Floating clothing or was it a ghost, stuff falling off furniture etc. I?ll go for a C

David D (it) wrote: This six part mini-series is a real tribute to the legend of the vampire. It combines hi-tech weaponry, biotechnology and a dash of political intrigue and philosophy to form an amazing world-setting for the modern day vampire legend. Without a doubt, there is something inherently fitting about a vampire driving a classic Mercedes in Europe. A word of caution: this tale is intellectually intense. I recommend having a degree in the biological sciences to experience it fully. Furthermore I found the dialogue a little hard to follow because of the British slang that was thrown into the script. When you combine this with the fact that all the actors have British accents(which adds to the confusion if you are not used to hearing them) I would totally recommend that that you sit up, turn up the volume, put down your glass of wine and pay attention. If someone is talking tell them to shut the hell up or you will both miss one of the coolest vampire series ever. This movie requires a dark room, rain outside and an impressionable-slightly-depressed mood to experience completely. I recommend treating this film as a lecture series because of the sheer volume of facts that one has to keep track of to fully appreciate what the writer and director have done. I have a biochemistry degree from university which inspires me to watch this series every year because of the detail given to the biology of vampires. Never before have I seen such a scientifically detailed work of art in the history of television with respect to a legendary beast. I am a little dissappointed that this six-part mini-series didn't turn into a full blown television show. It would have been a boon for Europe's film industry since there is a plethora of old buildings and cities that would have made perfect settings for each episode. If you are a fan of the vampire legend, this is a must see.

As my friend matt sez, it combines 2 great exploitation genres, W.I.P. (women in prison) and blaxploitation, what could be bad?
