Walter M (br) wrote: "Burning Man" starts with Tom(Matthew Goode), a cook, failing to be able to masturbate to orgasm in front of Lesley(Kate Beahan). His day only gets worse when he is involved on the wrong end of a car accident which actually looks it might be serious enough to cook him in his own juices, especially considering he had been shopping for groceries just beforehand. That gives him a lot of time to think back on the birthday party for his eight year old son Oscar(Jack Heanly) and how it all went wrong. "Burning Man" is a challenging and engaging stream of consciousness movie. Unlike say "Je T'Aime, Je T'Aime," which gets hung up on a wonky time travel plot, "Burning Man" has no such distractions. It is only concerned with the relationships between characters which while possibly confusing at first, eventually become clear, along with Tom's motivations and fixations, on the way to finding the tragedy at the heart of his life. Abd underlining that is Matthew Goode who shows that he can play volatile characters just as well as the restrained characters he usually plays.

Tom W (nl) wrote: A fantastic commentary on unconventional love. The chemistry between the cast is fantastic, and the lightness of the script and the score really brighten up some of the darker moods of the film. The themes may not appeal to some, and the lightheartedness may be almost irritating at times. But to me, this is one of my top 3 movies

Sanity Assassin (gb) wrote: let's be honest... a talking wolf is comical but i think most of the film was shot in that vain. as a joke it works better anyway. i thought that one with christina ricci in where a talking werewolf gives the middle finger was bad enough but here... we have the werewolf fucking some girl. hilarious but crap

Reno V (au) wrote: "IN A HOUSE FULL OF WOMEN, THE ONLY MAN GETS MURDERED" - '8 Femmes' is a French musical murder mystery from 2002 by director Franios Ozon (Dans la Maison). Although it takes a bit of time to get used to the French songs and I suspect a female audience will find this more appealing, I really like this movie and the twist in the end. In Agatha Christie style- whodunit storyline we try to find a murderer among eight colorful women, doing so we learn each of them carries a dark secret. This film features the crme de la crme of French actresses: Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppart, Emmanuelle Bart (Mission: Impossible), Danielle Darieux, Fanny Ardant, Virginie Ledoyen, Ludivine Sagnier and Firmine Richard. Who killed the only man in the house? On a snowy winter morning in a isolated countryside mansion in France, the man of the house is found dead in his bed with a knife still sticking in his back. Because of the weather, the killer can only be one of the people in the house. Was it his stylish wife Gaby (Deneuve)? His spinster sister-in-law Augustine (Huppart)? His alcoholic mother-in-law Mamy (Darieux)? His perfectlyseeming eldest daughter Suzon (Ledoyen)? Or his youngest tomcat daughter Catherine (Sagnier)? Perhaps Madam Chanel (Richard) the cook had reason to get rid of him? Or maybe it was the sexy housemaid Louise (Bart)? While the woman try to find out what happened, another person shows up at their doorstep: Prostitute Pierrette (Ardant) who claims to be the victim's sister. Could she be the murderer? In order to solve the case each of the eight women will have to unravel their darkest secret.

Noname (es) wrote: Many twists in this crime drama movie about a murder case. Ray Liotta did a quite good job and LL Cool J have a role aswell. A fair movie but i have seen alot better ones..

Matthew O (mx) wrote: A solid helping of Python goodness straight from the Flying Circus, well somewhat. Contained in this sketch compilation are several skits and animations from the television series remade with a theatrical budget. Despite some executive meddling the bits remain just as funny, if not funnier, then they were on the small screen. While not as original and captivating as the group's other theatrical adventures, this movie still deserves a place on the shelf of Monty Python fans and lovers of comedy alike.
