Kirk S (jp) wrote: This film's plot borrowed heavily from my novel called Cowslip that was published in 2001. And, yes, my novel has minor Icelandic characters. That probably is what got it noticed in Iceland. I don't mind that this film borrowed from my novel, but I would like some credit for coming up with a lot of the storyline. One need only read my novel Cowslip to see that about 65% of the plot of Metalhead comes straight out of the pages of my book and straight of my imagination. Yes, my dad is Icelandic and that's why I used minor Icelandic characters. I love Iceland. Many of the plot parallels are odd enough and random enough to me more than mere coincidence.

James M (es) wrote: For a film to be both gut-wrenching and effortlessly beautiful is almost impossible. This film delivered it in spades, then some.

JonErik F (ag) wrote: A perfect action thriller. Kurt Russell is amazing and Oliver Platt does well with the comic relief.

Doiminic E (au) wrote: Hal Hartley, the mans a genius!!! Martin Donavon the man is infinatley watchable!!!! I just love this film!!

Nathaniel R (kr) wrote: This is a great movie. Its not from Hollywood so don't expect Hollywood quality or sappy ending but there are images which will stay with you a long time. Works on many levels. Forget that Pearl Harbour garbage. Watch this one.

Carlos I (mx) wrote: Some horrendous acting, and over-the-top cheesiness at parts, but to me this is still pretty effective and a fun watch. This one used to scare the shit out of me when I was younger because I lived in the same type of building at the time.

Ashley C (jp) wrote: Not up to Powell & Pressburger's usual standard, despite the beautiful photography and lovely score. The plot is delightfully juicy, though - tragically examining a woman's opposing desires.

Vladimir S (fr) wrote: Such a masterpiece ! Captured the essence and the spirit of the book really well.
