(es) wrote: Underrated movie. One of the best movies I have seen this year.
(es) wrote: A beautiful and compassionate film that treats a very heavy subject with care and artistry. This movie will help many people intelligently understand the challenge we will all face one day.

(br) wrote: One of Curtis Hanson's earlier movies, "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle" puts the woman scorned into the shoes of a nanny from hell who, with a hidden agenda, ruins the life of a very happy family. Maybe the ending is a little predictable, but it's forgiven thanks to a terrific build-up and a deliciously scary performance from Rebecca De Mornay. Watch this movie, and you'll think twice before letting a nanny touch your child.

(us) wrote: This is rated one of the top 10, for the cheesiest horror flicks of the 80s - yet, it's golden for being hilarious. I am not sure how a nerdy outcast can summon the devil through an old-school computer (when Wi-Fi didn't exist). Anyway, he needed a technological Devil to enter his soul, so he could seek revenge on the bullies. Weird green satanic demons flashed on his face (which was obviously a cheap projector, with dull light bulbs). He started flying through the air with a sword, when all of a sudden.... "oink!" That's right, man eating pigs appeared underneath him. There's nothing scarier than snorting hog's running after the bad guys! lol

(au) wrote: Classic horror for two reasons only: Bela Lugosi and the first zombies placed in a feature film (I think?). Otherwise a somewhat weak entry in the annals of horrordom.
(gb) wrote: So basically they made a movie about a GM making a couple of trades? What a snooze. Couldn't have cared less about the personal drama they tried to add in there too.
(br) wrote: looking back on this movie today, there is a sense of how barbaric we allowed ourselves to be in forcing people to die because they could not afford healthcare. It shows us how far we've come but it really polarizes the fact that a whole lot of people are in states when they are still dying because they do not have access to heath care NEEDLESSLY. Back then we never thought it would be different even as we all knew it was wrong. Today, its a whole new world.

(es) wrote: This definitely had a made-for-TV vibe, though it has far more violence than would've been allowed in a made-for-TV movie back then. I think it's mostly the cast and cinematography.Ironside is definitely the best part of this movie. Also, his leather tank top.
