Robie S (de) wrote: It's a crime that The Baytown Outlaws is more moronic than humorous, even when it attempts to be serious

Martin L (es) wrote: October of 1961 this film was released in New York City. It starred Stuart Whitman in his only Academy Award-nominated role. This was a British film, but distributed in the U.S.A. through 20th Century Fox Film Corporation. This was directed by Guy Green, a native of Summerset, England. He was also an Academy-Award winner for 1946's GREAT EXPECTATIONS (for Best Cinematography, Black-and-White). Stuart Whitman, a native Californian, played "Jim Fuller", an expatriate of Canada, who decided to stay in Britain after fighting in World War II. Whitman plays a professional, educated businessman, who has just recently been released from prison for attempting to molest a child. Rod Steiger, an Academy-Award winner and very famous screen actor in his day, plays Fuller's psychiatrist, whom he is legally obligated to see almost every day as part of his parole. This is a fascinating character study. Besides Whitman's Oscar nod, this film was also nominated for the Cannes Golden Palm in 1961 and won the 1962 Golden Globe for Best English Film.

TheMumblelover (fr) wrote: Its a film more about the history of Dali and Lorca than a cinematic engaging experience. The film lacks any dramatic impact but you do learn about these two great artists. The last half hour is very laughable when Dali has is moustache he looks ten years old, the make up team didn't do a very good job here, shame cos the ending would of been powerful.

Wrik S (fr) wrote: Except for the rotic scenes, which excites any male on the planet, there wasnt anything to this film... at the beginning I had fooled myself that this was going to be an interesting film, but it turned out to be absolutely horrible...

Brandon W (au) wrote: I remember coming across the is when I was watching Looper which after that, I was looking at the facts of it and saw that some of the production people from Primer helped people that were involved in Looper. So when I finished Primer, it turned out to be a great McLeod that made me wonder what Shane Carruth's next film Upstream Color is about. Shane Carruth is great as an actor, and the script by him is really good also, but it's extremely confusing that it's one of those films that you have to watch more than once to understand it. The beginning was a bit rough there, but it gets better when it gets close to the middle. The way one of the characters explained that he made a time machine without acting crazy is really smart and it's explained very well also. It's really interesting, even if it's really confusing, and it has some smart dialogue between the two leads, even though some viewers would not know what they are talking about. Primer is an entertaining indie that I'm looking forward to see Upstream Color.

Konrad R (au) wrote: Well done, but very depressive most of time (well, as a whole, maybe except the ending scene). At this point (2008) and so many other movies which use reverse narration, the biggest value of this movie is how much it says about Korea and its history. Quite touching.

Nikki D (nl) wrote: Not as good as the original film, but still entertaining. Some questionable special effects!

Joe H (fr) wrote: Not very good but I got the rare version with infamous missing intro so happy about that

Jon L (au) wrote: This was one of my favorite movies growing up. It is a light hearted, funny movie that I have seen a hundred times and can pretty well quote the whole thing. The quality of the film is not the greatest but I think everything from the acting to directing is really quite good. In my opinion this film is underrated (get it on DVD already) and worth watching for an old comic style comedy. With all the unnecessary remakes going around these days (shudder), this is a film that could actually be a great candidate for a remake and/or sequel. It has the potential for another great story and with the right direction could be made into a great film (once again).

Stephen W (it) wrote: Good doc. Back when they sought PROPER proportions and beauty. Like everything else these days, bodybuilding has turned into "more of ____ must be better." It's on Netflix, btw. :)

Noname (ag) wrote: Al Pacino in a true story based police crime drama. Sounds very interesting indeed and thats why i gave this classic movie a chance. The performances are as always with Pacino absolutely stunning. Probably a top 5 actor ever for me and its always amusing watch him acting. The story of this movie follows the NY cop Serpico , an honest cop in a corrupt police department.. it was a nice drama but i felt it kinda dragged sometimes but still good overall. Its not the best movie with Pacino but his performance makes it worth seeing and defiently a cop movie not to miss.

Eugene K (ru) wrote: Poor sequel to The Vampire Lovers. Boring and incoherent at times. Not enough vampires for a vampire movie and not enough tits for an exploitation movie.

Victoria K (nl) wrote: I haven't seen this movie in awhile but the music is wonderful!!!!!

Luis Fer A (au) wrote: With an amazing soundtrack and a charming love story. Once is a unique story with two well-rounded realistic characters, a detail that will make you fall in love with it and watch it over and over

Tony Raul G (au) wrote: So sad that bank liquidators took down one of the best institutions the music business ever had. Loved every minute of this film.
