(br) wrote: This is a film that so easily straddles the line between utter crap and really really hokey yet amazing entertainment that i'm still not sure which way it is going! Young girl who suffers from a condition where she sleeps most of the time is put next door to a pyscho whos so good with his mental skills he can hypnotise anyone (yep he's a grade a professor x this kid). He gets to control here when nerd loner kid danny takes her out of the hospital to look after her when he first sees her (for no reason aside from he loves her, he has all his life!). Jeffrey combs is in it as a cop but hes just ok, if you aint a fan of his then his apperance will mean nothing. The film is so cheesey with plot holes and campness up to the max and the most irrating nerdling lead to ever hit the small screen, god he's awfull! Mr Volt the hypnotist is great, campy fun with his starring eyes like the killer in blood feast! He can even do it over the phone! The girl has to look all dough eyed and innocent but the scene when she first discovers grass and icecream had me wetting myself! The dream scenes are real fun and quite cool and they dominate the first half but vanish after a while. For fans of cheese movies only. I still loved it thou but probably for all the wrong reasons!

(fr) wrote: really good insight into why we have freedom of speech, and shows some really funny ignorant (COUGH republican/mormon/prep school kids) trying to be political. "Micheal Moore is a terrorist"......... ROFL
(kr) wrote: It was Ok, but a little slow. If these story had been told in little episodes, I think I would have liked it better and sooner.
(fr) wrote: A tadpole of a film and I get the allusion to frogs. Seems a bit racist but usual from the englishes. Well, I am shocked that the englishes allowed this film to be made. The boy's age is not even legal in Canada anymore, imagine in the USA! OMG, pedophiles! Also such a fantasy to kiss Sigourney.... mmmmmhhh. Oh pardon, I was daydreaming for a minute. The film production is quite low to the point of thinking it was a student project. Mmmmh, maybe the student project of our main actor to get some kissing with Sigourney fantasy job... Well in that case it is perfectly understandable and I would totally lend my hand to such venture and please make it a film I can see so that I get some fantasy time with SW. Mmmmmh...
(mx) wrote: This movie is bad. But that doesn't necessarily mean you'll not have fun. Random moments of gore, tits and laughs for me. I was never bored. A.J. Cook is cute and likeable. The rest of the actors sucked big time, though. Another big thing was not having Andrew Divoff in the role of the Djinn. He made Wishmaster and putting Jason Connery in his shoes makes sense, but doesn't work at all. Yes, we have another one of those "so bad, it's good" films. Sometimes the world needs them and I for one welcome them from time to time.
(es) wrote: It may look good, but the film doesn't flow very well. It's plodding and uninteresting. There doesn't seem to be much aim and the characters are not relatable. As hard as I tried, I just couldn't like it much.
(es) wrote: Ive not managed to sit and watch this whole movie yet in the 3 times Ive watched it! So, I've seen the whole thing, roughly, but not all the way through.I liked Hackman's performance. I thought he was a true Legionnaire! Not that I would know ...lol. It was a good story, I thought. There were some great scenes in this movie.
(mx) wrote: If you are expecting a typical revenge spaghetti western, you'll be disappointed here. Instead you'll get a better than average story, marvellous cast, strangely positive and slightly surreal atmosphere, a killer hippie soundtrack - and that violent, sometimes bizarre, Fulci touch... More character than the action driven, this unconventional western is defenately one of the Fulci's best movies.

(nl) wrote: CRANK isn't just a generic action flick, it's a film filled with its own unique style, a great sense of humor, and most importantly a genuine sense of fun. Honestly, Statham needs to go back to making movies like this. This is a film that embraces what it is: a silly, stylish, and clever action movie. I just wish he would stop trying to make all these serious movies (I'm talking to you SAFE and HOMEFRONT), and just embrace his inner fun side.
(us) wrote: I'm surprised by this film's average rating, honestly, because I don't think it was that bad. I haven't seen that many Sienna Miller movies, I'll admit, but her performance as the tragically beautiful Edie Sedgwick was stunning. Hayden Chistensen's Bob Dylan-inspired character was the highlight of the film for me. He gave the film the much needed pivotal point where Edie saw what was really happening. There were some noticeable scenes that looked far too set-up to evoke any realness and I felt the Factory's atmosphere was kind of static. I disagree with the general consensus that Factory Girl "fails to tell a coherent story", we see Edie fall from the top of the world to the lowest of pathetic lows and it was resolved well. I was genuinely moved by the story and loved the 60's icons from Dylan to Reed. I'm off to listen to some Blonde on Blonde.
