Brandon W (us) wrote: Click is directed by Frank Coraci, and it stars Adam Sandler in a science fiction comedy about an architect who is tired of his work, and a bit of his family. So he found an universal remote control that literally controls his life. When I first watched it, I thought it was ok at best, nothing special, but it was probably during the time where I was getting a little tired of Adam Sandler. Now that I feel like watching lots of Adam Sandler on Netflix, I guess I'll get Click over with, which was a bit of a surprise to me of how better I thought it was. In the beginning, I wasn't laughing as there are tons of jokes that fall flat to me. Christopher Walken is a lot of fun and gives out some funny humor to it, and when he does give the main character the remote, that's when it starts to get better in terms of its humor. There are still some humor that didn't hit bullseye, but there are a joke afterwards that got me laughing. The special effects look really good, and the make-up is really well done. When it got to the ending, the drama aspect of it, was really unexpected, and surprisingly effective. It really made me felt sorry for Adam Sandler's character who is a bit of a jerk, but the movie does address him as a jerk, and he doesn't go overboard with it. When Adam Sandler does drama, he usually does a great job of it, and it kind of made me want to see more of it, but hey, it's a Happy Madison Productions film, so it's rare that I'm gonna see something like drama. With that said, Click is a really good movie that is really nice to see a funny movie from Happy Madison Productions.

Pan L (jp) wrote: The cast of adaptation of Vonnegut's fine book is the best thing I can write about this film: Albert Finney (as Kilgore Trout!), Willis (who looks and acts like Rick Moranis on acid), and almost hilarious Nolte (forget annoying Epps...). I wish Terry Gilliam had directed it.

Ryan T (ag) wrote: I don't necessarily lock-stock-and-barrel agree with the "ueber-hokey" part above. Definitely a message in the movie for musicians of any sort. I actually like the interweaving of themes of sounds, silence, society. This story made me pine for my days of intense music making (albeit sans the being broke aspect). There's a level of predictability that gums up the freedome of the story; however, it's a great twist on stories in a similar vein. Love the tunes, great music!
