Paul K (es) wrote: Almodovar is on his usual form here. It would be scary if it weren't so funny and implausible. Reminded me of the kind of drama a certain type of teenager invents to show on his (?) home-made puppet stage. A nice transsexual S&M type fantasy, that is. It had less to say of any consequence than many of his other similarly implausible movies.

Scott A (es) wrote: This was okay I guess, but not very interesting. Basically this guy has to sell pills to make money to stay in school. It all leads up to a very stupid scene with rival drug thugs, and then kind of ends after that with no wrap ups to the story. The lead guy is kind of a tool, just like in everything else I've seen him in: I still think he was so annoying in the Evil Dead remake.Hensley is basically playing his Nip/Tuck role and Kristen Bell is not really used here much, and when she is, it just isn't good. She has no chemistry with Pucci. Some of the supporting characters help the film move. Monica Keena is great as one of the customers doing various role playing sex acts in her Grandma's basement. Eddie Kaye Thomas is fantastic as another customer way to obsessed with Diff'rent Strokes...the TV show. One of my favorite actress Diora Baird shows up as another customer for a few minutes.
Jordan F (de) wrote: Excellent movie! unoriginal yes but it had some of the greatest shoot outs ive seen since Heat. the acting was ok and the script was poor at times. Johnny Strong needs to make more movies cuz hes definitely a leading man

Brian G (de) wrote: I find it hard to believe that London is the only capital in the world to not be in complete shambles, but I find it harder to grasp that women became sterile for some odd reason, until Kee came. Plot points aside, Children of Men is a visual masterpiece with a unique form of cinematography. The moving shots of an almost anarchist society show a different, dark look at a possible future for humanity.

Steve W (br) wrote: How does one blend Shakespeare and horror? The answer: Vincent Price. An actor scorned by a ring of critics takes his revenge in gruesome and Shakespearean ways. This movie has the absolute finest from VIncent Price. He plays his role hammy, and the cartoonish over-the-top script is entertaining yet macabre, and somehow works. The best part is Diana Rigg, she gives a human touch to the villainous protagonist as his daughter.A fascinating mix that is glorious and dark. Those familiar with Shakepeare will enjoy it more, but the film doles out enough exposition for others to get it. I liked the small doses of subtle black humour spread throughout, for a very different and highly entertaining horror movie.
Naoya K (au) wrote: I LOVE this film! The best of all those films that put "loss of innocence" as the center theme. Pacing, humor, cast - all perfect (for me!). Brewster McCloud and MASH are the two-top if you put Altman's works in the soccer formation.

John B (br) wrote: A weeper. It is interesting to see Cary Grant in very uncomfortable situations. It veers too much into the soap opera realm but is nonetheless a good afternoon film.
Maria M (jp) wrote: While it's the usual dystopian plot shared by other popular pop fiction based films, the Maze Runner is still a good movie franchise to follow. While some may argue against the movie versus the book, I find the film version very effective in interpreting the written narrative.
