Jaskirat S (mx) wrote: a great movie go for it

James H (nl) wrote: It certainly makes you think. I don't buy all of it, but the information on the Pentagon was particularly convincing. However, there are some major holes in the theories presented.

Zeus G (mx) wrote: The first Czech movie I've ever seen and it was pretty gud.

Rob L (au) wrote: This was horrible. couldn't make it through it.

Lesley N (kr) wrote: Japanese businessman and Japanese yakuza travel into remote China looking for jade and finding children with wings instead. Not at all the kind of film Takashi Miike is known for, and all the better for that

Anthony C (mx) wrote: Dolph is truly bad ass as an assassin in this movie directed by Russell Mulcahy who did "The Shadow" among others. One to check out if u like action.

Facebook U (ag) wrote: I had seen this film when it came out and didn't recall. This film stands out the test of time very well. Over the top effects, unlikely story, a great thriller that grips enough to the end. Great villain. S.L. Jackson is sympa in this.

Tom A (us) wrote: One of those films I liked as a teenager. Dunno if I would today.

Dave J (nl) wrote: Friday, May 17, 2013 (1961) A Pocketful Of Miracles COMEDY DRAMA Remake of Frank Capra's 1933 film called "Lady For A Day" starring Glenn Ford as Dave The Dude a top head gangster and racketeer who often buys apples from a poor old bag lady nicknamed Apple Annie for superstitious luck. And when Annie gets put into a complicated situation herself regarding her actual daughter, Dave The Dude's fianc nicknamed "Queenie" played by Hope Lange encourages him to get involve into helping poor old Annie if he wants his superstitious luck to continue which is why it's called "Pocketful Of Miracles" hence the title. A film that is two hours and 16 minutes, all I can say is that while it's always fun to see film legends like Bette Davis and Glenn Ford on screen together, the pacing regarding the set is much longer than it should. And the ending should've been much longer than the set up even though it's identical to other Capra movies. Known as Director Frank Capra's last film and Ann Margret's first movie debut. 3 out of stars

Jacob F (nl) wrote: While it gets a bit talky at the end this is a gorgeously made and absolutely brilliant film, and is an excellent example of why Boetticher has been so celebrated and studied over the years.

Richard D (ag) wrote: An earnest ... perhaps too earnest ... drama anchored by a fantastic performance by Spencer Tracy as Father Flanagan, the founder of a community for homeless boys. As with all of Tracy's best performances, he's very sympathetic while simultaneously conveying that a very hard man is lurking under the soft exterior. This really sells the fact that he is a man who could go to the lengths he has to in order to make this community work. Mickey Rooney is not quite as good. Later in his career, he quite convincingly played some fairly tough characters. Here he waivers quite a lot between being convincingly tough and obviously acting. The film's underlying message that badness is, for the most part, learned and can be prevented by caring for our children is timeless and makes the film relevant despite a lot of creaky touches.

Wesley G (nl) wrote: Pretty much the same monster flick as the original but, nevertheless, still fun to watch.
