Matt C (gb) wrote: Ludicrously bad in that, 'what on earth were they possibly thinking??' kind of way. Apparently Thomas Harris wrote the script so he can only blame himself for the final destruction of the Hannibal Lector character here. He's given a traumatic childhood experience to explain everything he's ever done, a sexy Japanese Samurai Auntie to lust over (I kid you not) and is portrayed on the screen by some weird French dude you've never heard of and never will again. Downright bizarre, even the Wire's McNulty looks lost as he desperately tries to pretend to be French.

Carl J (ru) wrote: A surprisingly awful flick is more like it. The creature is a total rip off of alien, a shot gun doesn't work but a chain saw does? There was no saving this movie, no even Anne Turkel half naked could save it. There was no tie in for Julie Newmar's character knowing the detective. The bagpipes were even fake.Possibly the only worst sci-fi film than this was Cherry 2000.

Brad S (de) wrote: I always enjoyed this B-movie. it has a great cast with Bill Pullman, Oliver Platt, Bridget Fonda and Betty White, and also a twisted sense of humour. it is somewhat similar to "Tremors". Don't take it seriously and you'll have fun, it also has gorgeous scenery.
Gabriel K (nl) wrote: I watched the "extended" version of this movie. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised, even though the story seemed to wander at times and somehow seemed unfinished (understandably, given the highly publicized circumstances of how this movie was made). Still, a good movie with interesting characters - not a typical western.
Erick F (es) wrote: The social media campaign from both of these actors were much funnier than the actual movie. I was hoping for some Jackie Chan & Chris Tucker chemistry, but the film was missing something. I don't think it was from a lack of trying from The Rock or Hart either. Decent concept, and OK execution.
