Never to Lose

“Never to Lose” concerns the men of Homicide Unit 3, who are in dire straits at the moment. While Unit 3’s cops are full of ambition and talent, they never seem to crack a case. The team is comprised of Detective Koh, a 15 year veteran, Detective Kim (Min-jun Kim), a rookie eager to make a name for himself, Detective Koh, a married man who spends more time on the job than with his wife, and Detective Ryung ( Sang-mi Nam ), who can’t get taken seriously by her peers because she’s a woman. While at a party with his girlfriend, Kim happens upon information about a drug deal that could get the team the respect they’ve been looking for. But what the team gets into turns out to be not just a big drug bust, but a case that makes Homicide Unit 3 the target of the largest drug lord in Korea .

Jason D (nl) wrote: I really wanted to recommend this movie to everyone because the visuals are so killer. But man does the story drag. By the end I just wanted it to be over already. I recommend seeing it if you're into cool visuals, but this technique could have been put to much better use if they'd had some more imaginitive action scenes and less talky-talky.

Jordan R (au) wrote: An excellent, compelling, yet necessarily brutal look at the slums of Rio de Janiero through the lens of those living there. Hard to watch in a couple scenes, but overall definitely worth a look.

familiar s (gb) wrote: Damn it, this was like "To Kill A Mockingbird" with the most predictable and silliest twisted ending. (Oops! I hope that ain't a spoiler. And if it is, I can only hope that you're not intelligent enough to predict it. But even a kid can tell that 2 + 2 = 4, and you don't need to be a genius for that. Anyway, if it did work as a spoiler for you, and thereby reduced the movie's entertainment value for you, I honestly plead your pardon.) But that wasn't good enough for them. So they put the characters through car chasing scenes followed by a fight. The fighting sequence only made it worse. Exactly as predicted, the character who is supposedly shot dead, returns in a typical filmy way at the nick of time to beat the villain.I was expecting some unique and interesting courtroom drama, but I guess I was asking for too much. This movie was a big time disappointment for me. And if you haven't seen this movie as yet, I hope I've provided enough just causes that will lead you to the conclusion that you better avoid this Just Cause.P.S.: The face of the sweet, young girl playing Katie Armstrong looked familiar, but I'd no idea whatsoever that it was Scarlett Johansson until I found it in the credits.

Stephen C (es) wrote: Theresa Russell is terrible in this. And there's not enough Burt. It's a strange film: It never really goes any where and it drags a bit. Burt really picked some shit in the late 80's.

Charles C (gb) wrote: Silly campy horror movie. Might scare little kids, but not that badly.

Paul C (nl) wrote: i love this movie, made for tv it was pretty scary in places obviously low budget, but the way movies were shot in the seventies and eightys just had a great feel to them.i would like this to be brought out on dvd with the deleted scenes put back into it,for example a man falls from the ski lift and is grabbed by the beast.all in all a good film, and is'nt it about time they released all the soundtracks from movies and tv movies that you cant seem to get your hands on,like condorman and the score to return of the living dead, hopefully one day.

Darren H (mx) wrote: A Nicholas Ray courtroom drama with Bogey as a defense lawyer. Now this is some classic time-filler.

Logan M (ca) wrote: One of the most memorable 'fish out of water' comedies.

Stephen S (kr) wrote: Thought that this was going to totally suck, but it actually ended up being surprisingly good. Pierce Brosnan is obviously no stranger to the espionage genre, so he knows how to play this role pretty well. Olga Kurylenko is also good, as always. Worth checking out if you want a solid espionage thriller.
