It also was really surface level. There'd be a small hint of/opportunity for depth but then they would quickly just pass it over and move on. All in all, it was boring, not believable, and overall quite a let down. What did this movie teach me? When you've loved someone for a long, long time you can call them an asshole even when they're sick.

Braden J (de) wrote: It seems George Lucas copied this movie a lot for Episode 1,but it also seems this copied Road Warrior and too many to list! Does it matter? There is hardly any originality in the world these days anyways. This is a true LOW BUDGET film that is at least semi tolerable to watch.

Tim G (es) wrote: I was introduced to this movie in English summer school. I was entranced the moment it started. I was so over the moon about the movie, that I had to own a copy as soon as possible. Back in the early 90s that wasn't always the easiest or cheapest. This movie can be very campy at times, but I love every minute of it. I was completely enraptured by the love that could never be. Michelle Pfeiffer at her most beautiful, as well.

Blending some post-Carnival of Souls weirdness with some proto-Dawn of the Dead cinematography, the film is successful on a number of levels. Certain aspects haven't aged well, but overall, the film has a sense of dread rarely captured in the genre.
