Don Malek (Stephen Geoffreys) isn't the usual tenant found in the skid row hotels of downtown L.A. Grief-stricken since the murder of his fiancee Katherin, the successful screenwriter-turned murderous vigilante is bent on revenge against studio head Stanley Glissberg, the man cleared of murder charges in Katherin's death. Don can't forget - and Glissberg's going to pay. Enter Don's tenacious literary agent, Ava Collins (Tiffany Shepis), who tracks him down and wants to sell his manuscript - if there is one - or cut him loose. He assures her he's holed-up in the cheap room to write, and his story's a work-in-progress. Adding to his slippery slope, Don calls in a favor from a neighbor, and in doing so, uncovers despicable abuses down the hall. Spitz (Ezra Buzzington) is a hard-drinking former Marine and paraplegic, with a penchant for hookers and a violent streak. When he demands a return of the favor, Don must choose between turning a blind eye, or quickening his own destructive spiral... . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

There are some really funny moments in here, but mostly it's enjoyable for the behind-the-scenes moments. It's fairly short and worth seeing if you're interested in comedy.

P P (jp) wrote: This operatic baroque western won't be everyone. The marvelous dialogue, chock full of Freudian double entendres make this stylized western compulsively watchable. The costumes are marvelous. Ray dresses his heroine in fetish like corsets, boots and bright primary colours. Joan Crawford and Mercedes McCrea had a real life rivalry. Their intense rivalry is palpable on screen. This is full on campy fun!

Cecilia C (fr) wrote: One of the best endings in film...not the best movie, per se...or even the best thriller. But, the ending makes the movie payoff. You really do not see it coming...at least I didn't. Doris Day shines as the tortured wife of an overly hardworking businessman. She begins hearing voices and then starts getting crank calls. Is she making this up to get more attention from her husband? Is she really in danger? And if so, by whom? Being a huge Hitchcock fan, I?m always skeptical of thrillers that try to copy the image and style of the Master of Suspense. Thankfully, I feel this one is not something Alfred Hitchcock would have disappointed with.
Rodney M (ru) wrote: Aside from Pacino, the acting is terrible. The cinematography is a joke. The effects are about as good as a high school play, and the movie drags through the middle. Not sure who was in charge of editing, but they should not have gotten a check. Too many scenes don't even flow into the next. As a kid I loved this movie. As an adult who has scene what great movies look like; this just isn't a good movie at all. Easily the most overrated movie of the last 40 years. Hasn't ages well either with the terrible soundtrack.
