Steve N (ru) wrote: Surprisingly good movie. Ray Liotta and Dominic Purcell have a game of cat-and-mouse which is suspenseful and entertaining.

Chilli H (ru) wrote: Based on the story of Theresa Knorr who murdered two of her children & her husband.

Dan L (it) wrote: OMG... except those stupid half-and-half Japanese porno kind of movies, this one is one of the worse even though it's a love story movie. They shouldn't call Sad Vacation, should be Very Very Bored Vacation since it's sooo boring and sooo long... I almost fell asleep when I was watching it and yeah, the worse love story so far from Japanese movie.

Martina A (kr) wrote: A good movie, I liked it for the art and for the courage to be woman

James M (it) wrote: When the comedy is hitting, it's a blast. Unfortunately, strong editing, choreography and cheesy humor cannot wholly make up for the lack of clarity throughout the narrative. Dramatic scenes especially suffer from this confusion, as does any hope of me buying the whole allegorical argument of each female (interchangeably, it would appear) representing Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Mainland China. Better subtitles would have probably helped, but of course that would have also compromised the humor. What I find most surprising about 80's Hong Kong cinema is how much acclaim it gets from Westerners while Bollywood is chided. They're equally fantastical and schizophrenic. Does the accommodation of the occasional Kung Fu scene instead of song-and-dance really separate the two that much or are there ulterior, perhaps politically incorrect, subliminal differences in how we view their cultures? Or do Westerners really just dislike both but enjoy pretending to appreciate Hong Kong cinema? Interesting stuff.

Harley M (it) wrote: so much of comedy seems to hinge on how incompetent everyone is but in this movie, it all hinges on everyone being good at their jobs and i love it. eddie murphy still has the best laugh ever.

Joshua P (jp) wrote: Worst of the 3, decent at best.

Brett H (ca) wrote: Slow-building and extremely tense, this home invasion thriller has a very unique plot and two astounding performances! Considered by some (including Stephen King) to be the scariest film ever made (largely due to the last 10 minutes), it has stood the test of time. It's fairly obvious it's adapted from a play, but it really is a superb film with a great ending!

Cody C (es) wrote: Sophia Loren is just the greatest. And Belmondo looks like Roy Scheider in Jaws in this movie. Not Vittorio De Sica's best, but damn good.

Thomas H (mx) wrote: I understood what was going on, but don't understand why the characters did what they did. The girl wanted to find her brother or someone but didn't want to leave even know she was on the verge of death. It was pretty simple to just leave out of France, but she didn't. It was pretty creepy, but this would have been better if the plot was more understandable.

Maymay A (de) wrote: Appearing to be almost a mirror to The Silence of the Lambs, making it a lesser work, but nonetheless witty and well-made.

Jason Y (mx) wrote: Just didn't like it. All it made me do was want to watch American Psycho.

Rancour C (ag) wrote: It started off looking like it might go somewhere, but then just dragged on forever and ever.
