Jordan K (fr) wrote: I was expecting Blast From The Past to kinda suck noting the two starring actors being, well, not the best actors, but it wasn't that bad, really, but I wouldn't call it perfect or anything special at all.A rather nave and clean cut guy named Adam Webber has lived underground in a bomb shelter since his birth and hasn't seen the light of day for 35 years. The day he steps out of his underground home is a new and exciting journey for Adam, who still lives and acts like a 1950s teenager. The rather funny dialogue from Adam quickly takes a turn for the worse when the movie morphs into a romcom and Adam meets a sassy girl named Eve (yes, that's meant to be ironic). Eventually this love doesn't work its way well in the movie and only the beginning where Adam is raised in the bomb shelter is only memorable.Blast From The Past, from its description, is kind of like Back to the Future and Pleasantville mixed together, but only more romcom-ish and not as good as either of those two films. Christopher Walken was probably the highlight of the film, but Fraser wasn't that bad in this film, only because he didn't have to act too much in this movie, just play it off kinda silly. It's worth seeing, I guess, but after Adam meets Eve, the lack of excitement and the bomb shelter premise goes down, way down...

JD H (br) wrote: While perhaps not Mel's funniest or most original film, it was still absolutely delightful and fun, with a few moments that really, really excited me. A movie that can make me this happy about it's cameos, make me nostalgic, and make me have a fun night always wins.

Page P (de) wrote: This movie is very predictable and shows some inspiration, but often submerges into a form of negation. The acting is a mix of bad, solid, bad, and okay if that makes any sense. I feel this movie tried to hard for it was. Although I cant say this movie is utterly bad. It's okay. Just entertaining.
Sam H (es) wrote: Great movie with good cast. Melissa McCarthy was brilliant. Jason Bateman did pretty well.
