James H (mx) wrote: Tarzan is largely disappointing. The performances are decent. Alexander Skasgard is okay as Tarzan, but not eye catching, Margot Robbie's charisma helps her performance, Christoph Waltz also has charisma in abundance. Samuel Jackson is good, I liked his character, he wasn't as physically able as Tarzan but his he was surprisingly helpful, especially intellectually. The CGI in this film was terrible at times, considering it was released a few months after The Jungle Book. A lot of things in this film are over the top and don't make sense as well.

John L (fr) wrote: It started slow, and was so mean-spirited for the first hour. The scenes also started to feel really plodding and repetitive by the end, with scenes that went nowhere and scenes that were just tired. Most of the tension in the first hour just seemed to come from characters acting totally irrational and obviously ignoring the one thing any sane human being would mention or do. It left the characters looking like lunatics, sociopaths or total idiots. The last half hour had some good laughs and I wanted to love this for Peter Dinklage's sake if nothing else, but there was a lot of bad, sad, boring, and pointedly cruel moments to drag it down. Great cast, good concept, but poor writing and lazy jokes left them with too little to work with.

Leon B (fr) wrote: Review:I wasn't that impressed with this dated film which has a silly storyline and a bad script. It all based around an ex-con who gets dragged back into his bad ways when his brother turns up on his doorstep. I wasn't expecting that much from the film because of its age and the fact that I hadn't heard of it when it first came out, but it's watchable and there are some intense moments. It is a poor attempt of a comedy crime caper, by the director, but It didn't hurt damage any of the actors careers. Average!Round-Up:Aaron Eckhart is one of those actors that doesn't get the praise that he deserves. He has starred in some top films like Olympus Has Fallen and The Dark Knight were he put in a good performance as Harvey Dent, but he hasn't become an household name. Thomas Jane is another actor that hasn't really blown up in Hollywood but that is due to the bad attempt at The Punisher, were he played the leading role, and The Deep Blue Sea, which also didn't go down to well.I recommend this movie to people who are into there comedic crime capers about a man who trying to go straight after being in a world of crime. 3/10

Jason J (kr) wrote: Set amongst the backdrop of a mining pit under threat of closure, this is a great British movie combining drama and comedy about a colliery brass band. There's a lot of great music, touching stories and throughout a lot of this movie I was very entertained. What makes this movie even more poignant is that it mirrors in no small way the same events which befell the Grimethorpe pit in 1992, and impacted on the world-famous Grimethorpe Colliery band. Good performances from the late Pete Postlethwaite, Tara Fitzgerald, Stephen Tompkinson and Ewan McGregor. "Brassed Off" is a wonderful piece of work straddling between laughter and emotion. Well worth checking out.

Zachary M (es) wrote: This was truly unsettling. The most unsettling thing about it is the killer. It really takes time to show how methodical his actions are. How he has got abduction and murder down to a science. And yet he can still seem like an average guy. And the thing that makes it truly scary is, that's how so many real life serial killers are. If you have a hard time trusting people or are naturally paranoid, then let me tell you it will confirm everything you've ever thought about strangers.

Ben L (br) wrote: I've always found soap operas to be rife with the potential for satire. There is so much about that genre of television that I find ridiculous. So having a movie that takes such a broad jab at the entire soap opera industry is great. The comedy in this film is superb. I literally laugh until I cry. Perhaps the best aspect of the movie is the strange show within a show. I love how the characters' real lives spill over onto their TV show. Normally I hate movies where everything goes wrong for the main character, but Sally Field plays it so whiney it comes off as funny rather than depressing. The cast is star-studded and that makes the movie that much better. The soap opera of the characters' lives even brings some genuine surprises. So surprising, in fact, that you can go back and watch the film again and see things from a completely different perspective. That's not something you usually expect from a comedy. Soapdish is a perfect satire of the silly world of soap operas and the all-star cast delivers a laugh-out-loud performance that should entertain both fans of soaps and those who've never watched one.

Viktor S (ag) wrote: Valve did go a little overboard on advertising their biggest game to date in this film (and who can blame them), yet they did give some very shocking and in-depth insight on the lives of professional gamers and how it's slowly becoming an actual career option. The other negative part of this film I would have to quote, however, is that there wasn't much history on professional gaming itself, just how popular it has become today and how big "The International" is in eSports history. As a DOTA 2 player myself, I was excited while watching this film, seeing into the lives of some of my favorite gamers and replays of some excellent professional DOTA 2 plays. For others who are not familiar with DOTA 2 or eSports in general, this may not appeal to you as much. You just want to know more about eSports, not DOTA 2. In conclusion, this is an excellent film for the targeted audience; DOTA 2 players. If you are unfamiliar with the eSports scene and it's history, however, you will be disappointed.
