NOOMA Whirlwind 024
A lot of us have gone through times in our lives that are difficult. Some have been small and hard to understand and some have been big and overwhelming. During these times we want answers, don't we? We want to know why. Why do we have to suffer? Why do bad things happen to good people? We just want someone to make sense of it all. But we don't always get the answers, do we? Sometimes we are left wondering. And those can be some of the most difficult times. Maybe there are times we need to be released from having to have all the answers. And maybe it's when we're released that we are able to see there may be more going on here than we realize.

(kr) wrote: It is a bit confusing at times, unless you know her story well. The ending is great, different from your typical biopic (but then again, they couldn't make a happy ending out of her story). It's solid. The soundtrack is amazing.
(it) wrote: Not sure what this is.
(fr) wrote: Weak beginning, average middle, very weak end. Stephen Dorff was good but can do better. Maria Bello over acted as always, other than that everyone else was crap. Below average thriller
(nl) wrote: This is what broadway has been missing. The men take the censorship rules and sticks them up their bare asses right there on stage. It was very well done in the movie, but as always, the broadway musical was so much better. This is not a pornographic movie. This is ten men singing and acting nude. It tells a story about all things the typical gay male must deal with in life. Great music throughout it all, including such funny tites as, "The Bliss of a Bris, and Fight the Urge." I think every gay male should see this once. It will make you laugh, cry, and love it all at once. (If you don't like gay movies...for all you haters out there...then don't watch it) It was amazing, so go rent it NOW!!
(au) wrote: You know what I love about a movie? If you said childish whimsy you are incorrect. The classic children's story had brains and heart, but this film contains neither.
(ca) wrote: let me be honest, this is NOT the best movie I've seen, but it is really far up there. I found this movie on Netflix and it didn't seem like much because it was a not too well known movie. I started watching it and by the end I was shocked. the way everything just comes together at the end is hands down AMAZING! it's like, you spend the whole movie trying to figure out what is what but then at the end it's just something you would never suspect. Some of the quotes from this movie are absolutely brilliant for the characters. this is a MUST watch, especially on a friends night.
(fr) wrote: With a final scene powerful enough even to get the strongest viewers to bring out the tissues, Toy Story 3 is a real force to contend with in the recent age of animated movies; and further reinforces the fact that the franchise is no doubt the greatest animated series of all time.Verdict: A

(nl) wrote: A well done and interesting movie. It kept me interested the whole way through. It was a good "mind game" thriller. And a twist at the end that made me wonder... What just happened???
(de) wrote: a very pleasurable watch about two great artists

(jp) wrote: Nothing doing here. A cynical, cheap looking sequel that offers little worth seeing, awful characters and terrible special effects. "I wouldn't buy that for a dollar" (or 5 cents).
(mx) wrote: If you're looking for an overblown action-fest with an easy-to-follow story, look no further. I may not be very familiar with Woo's movies, but I like what I see so far. While a little too overblown for my tastes at times, it is still one of the best action films I've seen. And thank God for the English dub because if I had to read this whole movie the score would have been a lot lower. Props to you John Woo, I look forward to seeing what else you have to offer.
(fr) wrote: Ah the is alright. Some funny moments but it was an easy watch which everyone can relate to!
(nl) wrote: Good not great drama that would be a lot less if not for Newman.
(au) wrote: Fun movie, plus I have to rate it high as I was a driving extra in it. That's me in my brown Triumph GT6 in the opening scene where Chevy is trying to get in the cab plus the scene where Benji gets tossed down the steps of the hotel.
(ca) wrote: It's pretty amazing that this and 'Star Wars' were released within seven months of each other! Close Encounters almost serves as a prequel to E.T., and is definitely a sci-fi benchmark, especially regarding special effects. Dreyfuss is good as the man trying to figure out what he saw (UFOs) and the vision they gave him, even if the goes a little maniacal in the middle of the film. Not too long, and with the final 30min spent at Devils Tower, you see enough of the UFOs, the mother ship and the aliens - as well as all the speculation, fear, tension and bewilderment beforehand. Seminal - definitely holds up after 40 years.
