The blend with the reality and fantasy in and outside the movie was an interesting aspect. This was attempted for the first time in Malayalam Cinema. The story seems to be an unending mystery which makes us believe our own fantasies. Cinematography plays a prominent role in the development of the movie. The film progresses between the past and present life. The dawdling and undulating camera movements of the past and the hasty hardhearted style of the present with continues change in the perspective was perfectly and brilliantly done by Jemin Jom Ayyaneth. But there arouse a small confusion in my mind regarding the time code of the portions in the present. This should have been handles with a bit more effort to make it perfect.Music was magnificent and unforgettable throughout the movie. Absolutely apt for the Nagayakshi resembling the conventional Hindu rituals and ceremonies gave an overall ambiance for the movie. Aravind Chandrasekhar deserves a shake hand. The songs Irul Nananja Ramazha and Manjukalam appeared so near which was a bit discomforting. Still both of them were adorable and visualized with rich and vivid colours. Neha Nairs virtuous voice was a great asset to the movie. The song Neeharardram was a different and haunting one. I missed it so badly in the movie. The humming of the song conveyed the whole impression of the movie and it would have been more exciting if the song was included.Cast of the movie was not satisfactory for me. Pachakkal Kannulla Sundari Avanthika Our Nagayakshi had a magnetic element in her eyes which make us attracted towards her. But Faizal and Ved were not upto mark. The portion of Madankunju portrayed by Jijoy was so brilliant. His dialogue presentation, though it resembles street pays was so strange and new to our movies. Ambika and Devan flickered and disappeared so suddenly. The dialogues were at times dramatic and it was simply because of the presentation. This could have been avoided. To the typical Mallu audience, Yakshi may seem unsatisfactory. Still those who have a tinge of madness easily get the spark of the theme. And for them the movie is seriously awesome. YFY is the first movie of my classmate. It(TM)s so special for me. I swear it won(TM)t be a loss for you. It is a new experience which is very rare in Malayalam Cinema. Go and Watch the movie. Pachakkal Kannulla sundari Naagayakshiwill speed up your heart beats and touch your soul

Fred V (nl) wrote: This movie brings us four Brothers that are out for revenge for the death of their 'angel' mother. It's a bit strange the movie decided to leave out the alive mother almost entirely (Spoiler alert: she gets shot in the first 5 minutes and dies instantly), so the Viewer is not allowed to get to know her even a Little bit. This makes it much harder to feel for the loss those four Brothers have endured. This movie has some heart: you still feel some empathy for foster Kids in General and those random four Boys in particular. However, the depth of this movie is comparable to the depth of a muddy Creek: its totally superficial from start to finish. Lots of unrealistic Shooting and Drama, not backed up by felt emotiion. I side with the critics on this one: it deserves 2,5 stars, but nothing more.

Brandon S (ag) wrote: Classic Jean-Pierre Melville film that features one of Lino Ventura's greatest performances. French New Wave gangster masterpiece is stacked full of everything that made this genre great double crosses, trenchcoats, and wearing large black rimmed sunglasses. Melville's style is in full effect, the film is a tad long but it's just more to love.

Dickie L (de) wrote: A film noir teaming from heaven. Jean Simmons and Robert Mitchum generate plenty of charisma and chemistry in this intriguing crime meller. The rules of the genre are pleasingly blurred in this tale of greed and manipulation. Swaggering Mitchum's Frank is no chump, and although a femme fatale of sorts, Simmons' Diane has plenty of shades of gray. Sure she's capable of murder, but she feels remorse, dammit, and she's so screwed up you have to feel a bit sorry for her. Nice job all round and the ending is hilarious, in a good way. My favourite line, "don't worry, I've been slapped by dames before".

Robert I (de) wrote: I really, really love this movie. I find it hysterical beyond comprehension.

Emily the F (nl) wrote: It plays out like a Dreamworks wannabe.

Jose Miguel G (es) wrote: A fast peaced ride that respects quite a lot of the source material, while adding some good disney spirit in an effective thrilling-touching formula.

Lee M (nl) wrote: The straightforward approach is crucial, because the movie is constantly doling out so much information -- so many names and places and theories to keep track of -- that it borders on the overwhelming. Occasionally, it's a little dull, too.

David Z (ru) wrote: Farrah once again gives a riveting performance.

Cody C (ag) wrote: Not as good as 2, but certainly worth watching. If they showed more gore it'd be just as good, but too much is implied gore, likely due to low budget.
