Sean D (gb) wrote: Let's point a few things out. Syfy's favorite partner ever, The Asylum produced this one and they are obsessed with filters. It's really the same one used throughout the entire film. Let's also point out that we have a spoof on our hands, which is the majority of their films. But this is of course, a spoof that's in a different vein of your typical spoofs. This isn't a comedy film that makes fun and recalls events in the film it's spoofing. Instead, it takes the whole rediculous angle behind Abraham Lincoln killing anybody but confederate soldiers and makes it its own film. Whereas, in the first film, it was against vampires. This one is against zombies. And well. It sucks. The acting is pretty good, along with the production quality and score. But the plot is dumb, the pacing is horrible, and the film is in general....BORING.

Simon H (gb) wrote: As someone who appreciates the art side of movies, I think this movie is fantastic. While it's not particularly horrifying, and while it feels like a rather typical '80s B horror film, there is one big thing that sets it apart from the norm, B horror or otherwise: the cinematography is M-A-G-I-C-A-L. It's incredibly atmospheric. and plenty of the shots are what I call "poster-worthy". The silhouetted scenes are all stunning, and whenever the sky is in focus you have amazing scenery. This is one of the most beautifully shot movies I have ever seen, and considering it's about a giant killer boar, that's pretty impressive. But great visuals aside, the rest of the movie is exciting enough to warrant a watch. It doesn't have the best of writing, but the story is fine, and its main monster feels somewhat believable. (Somehow, the hillbillies feel less realistic.) Do watch it if you get a chance.

Rafael F (ca) wrote: Great casting, great characters and excellent story, Days of Future Past is the best movie of the franchise.
