(mx) wrote: I have been looking forward to this movie for a long time. This is a genuine "How in the world was this made?" movie. FDR gets polio from a werewolf and then blasts their asses off. If you enjoy random quotes and dick jokes, you'll love this movie as much as I did.
(ca) wrote: This movie is abt real karate in action..not the typical martial arts movies with flashy moves. Pretty much shows karate is deadly, every hit is a take down or kill move.unsure why black & white were use for one scene which is kinda dumb...the final fight is a bit disappointing. Overall good movie
(jp) wrote: The highlight of the film for me was the painter at the beginning being in Herg's likeness and drawing Tintin's portrait in his style. In rendering this adventure in this particular animated style, Tintin and co are both (as has been written elsewhere) too human and not human at all. This film overall is merely diverting rather than fully enjoyable or good.
(ca) wrote: Even with as frivolous as this movie is, it's still a fun and somewhat epic adventure.
(jp) wrote: This movie was made on a very low budget. Although somewhat poorly acted in the beginning, the plot is unique and the dialogue quite funny. I would recommend it to anyone that likes independent films.

(au) wrote: Definitive documentary of the sporting legend, highly watchable with a wealth of fantastic archival footage and some interesting contributions from other famous and not-so famous personalities. The honest, non-glossy approach is refreshing, painting a three-dimensional picture of a three-dimensional icon. A worthy watch for the seasoned and unseasoned Ali follower.

(kr) wrote: While this is a huge improvement over the dreadful Insurrection that preceded and its questions it asks of how you would have turned out if your life had a different path is indeed a fascinating one. Unfortunately like the last Next Generations movies its filled with too much confusing action sequences and the villain's motivations are all over the place and long stop making coherent sense. Overall while its not the worst its certainly far from the movie Star Trek the Next Generation should have gone out on
(ru) wrote: A good follow up sequel. The first will always be the best one though, but this was still a pretty decent film. I loved Robin Dunne in it, this was where i first became a fan of his. Amy Adams and Keri Lynn Pratt also did a really good job too. Keri Lynn Pratt played quite a dumb character, and that was funny, but i still think Selma Blair from the first one was funnier!!!
(ag) wrote: A almost unheard of movie about the sister ship of the far more infamous RMS Titanic, the RMS Britannic. I'm a fan of almost everything Titanic, and I know a bit about this ship also, and I can tell you, this movie got the story nowhere near what actually happened abord the ship. There are three big problems with it. #1: There was no sabotage of the ship, no German navy soldiers aboard to capture it, and nobody knows for sure, but there a good chance there wasn't even a U-Boat. The real Britannic was either torpedoed or struck a mine, and the latter is more likely. So that makes every event in the movie impossable, and the one part where the guy shoots the incoming torpedo with a Lewis machine gun probably the worst event of the movie, not to mention it would be nearly impossible to do. #2: The ability that the main characters have to hold their breath for as long as need be is also not humanly possible. #3: The obvious low budget of this movie makes any scene that involves CGI look TERRIBLE. Water is the worst of all, but the explosions, submarine, and helicopter type shots of the ship are all also very bad. But dispite all this negativity, this movie actually has a lot going for it. The plot is good, although not at all real, the acting and lines are surprisingly good, and me get to know the characters well. I was also suprised that it showed the life boats getting destroyed by the still spinning propellors, which did actually happen during the sinking. So decent made for TV movie, only needed a few more things to make it far better, but you find your self pleasantly surprised at the end.

(gb) wrote: After seeing Tim Burton's "Ed Wood", I decided to watch an actual Wood film. "Glen or Glenda?" is such a bad, poorly done film that it actual serves as comedy. Everything about it is dismal, from the clunky narrative to the bad acting to the random cinematography; the list goes on and on. Don't take it too seriously, and you'll definitely enjoy it.
(de) wrote: An underrated classic filled with epic heroes, real peril, and valuable themes and messages, Happy Feet is one of the greatest films of this generation.
(es) wrote: This was not what I expected. For some reason I had thought that Killing Joke was the story of when Joker killed Robin, but Jason isn't in this story. In fact its more of a Batgirl story than anything. It was generally good, as all the DC Direct DVD films are, but I'm not clear why Batgirl and Batman had to go at it, but what really left this film to only 3 stars is the movies ending was very anticlimactic. Other reviewers indicating that the film had several deviations from source material makes me think the graphic novel may still be worth reading.
