Jim F (es) wrote: Pretty comprehensive documentary about a cave. Not quite the subject matter to have me viewing to it's end.

Greg K (it) wrote: A beautiful take on the trials and tribulations of an immigrant family in the 9/11 era of 'progressive' London. Through the film is generally well done, I wish there was more plot development, more of what was missed back home. Without those developments, however, you have the story and the yearning for more. The unknown and self searching is precisely what the film is about.

Danny is a Sydney cement worker who longs for the simple pleasure of taking a holiday to the countryside and camping, and he gets close to his escapist wish when he accidentally takes off with balloons and a deckchair (see movie title) and lands in a small town, complete with small town charm, folks, and love interest. A little bit comedy, thrown in with some mad-cap-ery, along with a romantic sub-plot that's done a cut above the average romantic comedy fare. Compelling and funny. I'd recommend it.

Mark N (ag) wrote: Overlong and overambitious for sure but certainly with a lot of heart and merit. One of those movies you might only ever watch once and enjoy to an extent but not one you find yourself wanting to return to. If nothing else it helps remind you what year Columbus discovered American and all the people who already lived there.

Ingrid G (ag) wrote: The description on flixster isn't exactly right, so I'll tell you the real plot. Joe E. Brown plays Kipp. Kipp works with kids in the hospital, telling them bedtime stories, but the hospital is cutting back, so he's laid off. He accidentally wins money in a competition he didn't realize he entered, and decides to use it to go back to school. Of course he meets a girl along the way, and she wants him to be on the football team. His father was on the team when he was in school, but Kipp isn't an athlete. A scientist, whom Kipp is boarding with, is working on a formula to create superhuman strength. He gives Kipp the formula so he can be strong, and he plays football. I wont tell you the end. As you can tell, It starts out pretty funny, and then travels down familiar story lines. But if you're a fan of Brown, you'll enjoy this movie anyway.
