Josh A (mx) wrote: So bad that it's hilarious in spurts, but the fact that the people involved actually seem to be taking this seriously is what makes it so bad. You also know exactly what you're going to get without even having to watch it: horrible CGI, fake science, pathetic acting, terribly written dialogue, and a nonsensical plot with no fluidity. Pretty unbelievable that this was even given any sort of green light.
Kang R (nl) wrote: A well rounded crime thriller except for some of it's cast. Good make-up & editing. Overall quite enjoyable but not as intense as it suppose to be. By the way, the Chinese name "Ching Yan" for the movie got absolute nothing to do with the movie.
Noah Abraham G (gb) wrote: "Burke and Hare" isn't great, and certainly could have been better considering the talent involved. Still, the film manages to be entertaining, despite being rooted in a story that is, simply put, not inherently funny.

Steve W (es) wrote: In the second installment and unrelated entry in Woo Ping Yuen's Tiger Cage Trilogy, Dragon Yuen is having a bad day. His wife is leaving him, and the solicitor who is backing up his wife has mistaken him to be in league with a bunch of gun wielding thieves. On top of that, he gets knocked out and later gets framed for murder. In a hilarious twist of events, he gets handcuffed to the solicitor Mandy and they have to work together to clear their names, and that includes kicking ass and taking names. The movie has some sporadic and short fight scenes, but they save the best for last. Dragon (Donnie Yen) takes on John Salvatti in an epic samurai sword duel, and then Michael Woods and Robin Shou.I would have rated it higher, but it ends abruptly without showing how the characters cleared their names or which man Mandy would choose in the love triangle that develops in the middle of the film.Easily one of the best action movies, with brutal fights and hilarious moments to balance out the seriousness of the violence.

Stuart M (ca) wrote: An amusing farce with relatively little plot beyond getting to sneak a glimpse of the Beatles, either in their hotel room or live on the Ed Sullivan Show. The characters promptly split in four and engage it typically outrageous antics to get in. It's harmless fun and not too deep.
