Elad W (br) wrote: This is what I would call a decent movie. The acting is good, the plot is alright and the action is very generic but still effective. Jason Sthatam delivers a nice performance as usual and the young Izabela Vidovic surprises me with a very good performance and shows so much talent. In conclusion this is a good action movie and some people will enjoy watching it I think, It's very underrated also...

Veronica B (kr) wrote: This was slow moving. I thought it was gonna be better than what it was. It was mostly about a dysfunctional family and how they irritate each other, but I felt like they left me hanging in the end.

Ben C (ca) wrote: While known to be dramatic and extreme for all the wrong reasons, Blow is a well-acted and somewhat reasonably-accurate film about the drug-trafficker George Jung, played well by Johnny Depp. It is well-written by the team of Nick Cassavetes and David McKenna, directed impressively by the late Ted Demme, and features good performances put in by Ray Liotta, Penelope Cruz and 'Pee-Wee Herman' Paul Reubens to name a few. It is one of the films that you must see; hard to watch, yet a well-executed film for all the right reasons.
Jocelyn B (kr) wrote: I might have given it five stars if not for the cop-out denouement.
Bloodmarsh K (ca) wrote: It's bland, unfunny, and been done to death. I'm sure Keaton was funny at some point in his career, but he's not exactly the first actor that comes to mind when the word 'comedy' is brought up. He's so desperate, I hear he wants to bring back 'Beetlejuice,' which sums up his entire career.. a dead guy played by an actor with a dead career.

Eric H (gb) wrote: "Focus" tells of a bland and nonconfrontational man (Macy) who buys a pair of eye glasses which make him look Jewish after which be becomes the object of antisemitic hostility, etc, blaa, blaa. A kind of lame attempt at revealing antisemitism in America during WWII, the film features solid performances by Macy and Dern though no chemistry exists between them...or anywhere else in the film. Generic, staged, and pale in comparison to many better films about hatred in American, "Focus" is marginal entertainment at best and a very meager history lesson. Passable stuff.
John M (de) wrote: This is one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Poor acting. Poor execution. Dont even bother watching it for free on netflix, You'll be very bummed you wasted 2 hours on it. The main character obviously has never ridden a skateboard in his life before this. The editing of all the skate footage is ridiculous. Nice try. Better leave skate footage to the skateboarders.
Cody C (us) wrote: God, I love Douglas Sirk. What a sick, beautiful bastard. Very twisted and underrated filmmaker. I prefer All That Heaven Allows to this one, but this is damn great, don't get me wrong. Such a heavy story. Yeah, it's outlandish, but Sirk is using that outlandish template to explore philosophical issues, much like a horror filmmaker might use zombies to explore a social issue, etc. Anyway, watch this movie if you love film.
