Farah R (fr) wrote: Brilliantly written and filmed, A Street Cat Named Bob is a fantastic heartwarming drama. The movie manages to candidly showcase the harshness of homelessness and addiction whilst maintaining its feel-good factor and that's a wonderful way to tell this story because it's so much more that a cat-based comedy. A lot of the credit for the movie's success also goes to the actors; Treadway and Bob were quite the duo. This sweet little film is one of the most enjoyable I've seen in a while and it's totally not because I love cats.

Andrew A (ag) wrote: It isn't good when the best line in the entire film is "[w]ho dressed you? The Great Depression?"Sadly, when a comedy is willing to bill five women in its top six roles, it's generally because that comedy is about women in competition. You Again is no exception. I'm not talking about women competing for high paying jobs or recognition. No, these women get to be high school rivals; their only motive is to outshine the other over the years, whether it be fueled by a battle for popularity or over a guy. Don't get me wrong. You Again has its sweet moments. Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver pushing each other into a pool makes for a great scene. But a great cast of female actors doesn't make up for rarely funny and sexist ways they're pitted against each other. Also, underusing Betty White in a film should be a crime.

Jayakrishnan R (ca) wrote: 84%Saw this on 27/3/15Faced with more than just the task of being a sports drama, Invictus must be a riveting look at the racial segregation after South Africa became a free country and it must also be a satisfying account of the life of Nelson Mandela during the time of his presidency. Invictus nearly pulls all these off with enough conviction and whenever the film starts to fall off, Clint Eastwood pulls it back off to flight. This is a fine sports film, expertly crafted and it captures the spirit of the game aptly, take for instance the slow motion sequences during the rugby match. The story of Invictus is one of ample historic importance and it's a near miracle that was not given the attention that it deserved from the world and the director has done a respectable job by bringing it out to the masses.

Wes S (au) wrote: Slow, dimwitted, religious-bullcrap-in-disguise, poor excuse for an apocalyptic film. Horrible story, stupid characters, and practically everything good is offscreen. Silly plot, horrible pacing, and overall a terrible waste of time.

Neill J (gb) wrote: Great suspense film - with Malkovich seeming to revel in playing the unhinged bad guy.

Jackson M (us) wrote: I actually really like Alien 3, it has a sort of psychological horror aspect to it that I love. I can understand why people hate it, but if you can forgive the movie for it's faults you'll have a lot of fun watching.

Josh M (it) wrote: Michael Myers returns, but brings mediocrity with him. With everyone whining about his absence in Halloween III he comes back with nothing better to offer.

Jeremy P (fr) wrote: This was like Chang Cheh's "jumping" movie. There are just a ton of shots of guys jumping in all sorts of ways, often in slow motion and off spring boards located just off camera. It also has this old western or samurai theme about a hero who doesn't want anything, at all, except a place to sleep, and ends up misunderstood by everyone else. Of course since this loner is played by David Chiang he was the highlight of the movie. Ti Lung really annoyed me for playing such an ass, but he was still great in the fight scenes. It's also pretty bloody in some often poorly edited ways, but I find that sort of stuff forgivable. The ending is really long and drawn out (post-fighting) but appropriate.

Jessica B (mx) wrote: Absolutely delightful comedy and love story all in one. Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacClaine are perfect together, as usual. This film had me rolling, and gasping throughout. Lovely film, a new favorite.

John E (ru) wrote: Nice bit of light viewing! I've never watched a bad Matt Damon movie. The story is based on a real one, although names and the timelines are altered for dramatic effect and the story is moved from the UK to California. There is just about enough emotional value in this without it going too Hollywood. Not an easy film to get right, I think some of the characters are probably a bit too much of a characature, but it did provide enough light relief to balance it all out.
