Robert H (nl) wrote: Fans of The Ring can start crying now as this third installment in the franchise, while making sense on the surface, is clearly the red headed step child of a distant cousin related to the original and spooky film that started it all.Sadako 3D plays out many of the same themes as the 2 previous Ring outings and there are a couple jump scares that are decent but this film clearly feels cheap CG FX that bring about crazy 3D images on screen was more important than mood and tension. That being said, there is some nice creature design and the 3D is decent and noticeable throughout the film (when actually used). While I'll admit that I enjoyed Sadako 3D, it is not a very good movie. If you want to have a good chuckle at a modern telling of a Japanese ghost story, this is for you. If you're looking for something scary and full of suspense... go watch the original again or the remake or even the sequel.

Corey n (ag) wrote: This is a decent crime thriller. The movie stars David Duchovny, Timothy Hutton and Angelina Jolie. Duchovny plays a doctor who loses his medical license when he becomes addicted to amphetamines. But he soons finds a new job by chance to be a doctor again for a local crime syndicate. They want him to be their doctor on call. They supply him money and the amphetamines as the price. Of course he goes over his head with this and has the feds and crime syndictae on his back. Duchovny is solid as the lead hero. I liked his character. Timothy Hutton is great as the crime syndicate boss. Jolie has a small role in the movie but still good in the role. The movie story is decent and entertaining. A bit choppy and rushed at times. And some of the scenes of the film tries to be like a Snatch or Boondocks Saints movie. I remember a interview with Duchovny who said a love scene with Jolie was taken out of the story. He said it didn't make sense for the film. She was healing from a gun shot wound and he was fighting his addiction from drugs. It would not have made sense. He has a point. Overall though I enjoyed the movie. It could have been done a little better but it entertained me. Worth at least a one time watch.

Tristan P (ag) wrote: I really, really wanted to like this film. After all, this was my favourite director, George A. Romero's statement that he wasn't just a director os splatter films and that he, like the motorcylce-riding 'knights' in this film, was a true rebel who's free spirit could never be forced to intergrate into the mainstream. And just typing out that sentence reminds me what it was about Knightriders that kept me from truly enjoying it: that ever present sense of indie-movie pretentiousness. The fact is, Romero did a hell of a lot more to subvert the system with Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead than he ever could have with this pompous mess. Sorry, George.

One day he, an ex-girlfriend, and a hitman foil a robbery and shoot the clerk. Nick becomes paranoid and when he discovers his ex-girlfriend has a bunch of dope, he flushes it down the toilet. That leads to a pist-off supplier, customers, and a rogue police officer. Nick's situation couldn't get much worse. "I do love you, but you're boring the shit out of me."Skip Woods delivers Thursday in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture feels a little like True Romance mixed with Savages. There is a cool sense of style mixed with violence and charismatic characters throughout this film. The acting is fun and fits the content well. The cast includes Thomas Jane, Aaron Eckhart, Mickey Rourke, Paulina, Porizkova, and Paula Marshall. "They got the wrong house!"Thursday is a movie I came across while looking at recommendations on Netflix. I am a huge Mickey Rourke fan (he has a bit part) and Thomas Jane usually makes entertaining flicks. This was a fun stylistic movie that has some unique elements; but much like Savages, trips over itself in a few scenes. Overall, I do recommend seeing this film, but I wouldn't add it to my DVD collection."CUNT"Grade: C+/B-

Audrey H (ag) wrote: The thing that most irked me about this film was NOT just that Alexis had barely any personality. It was the struggle of the parents. First, her mother is totally against it because all her friend's views are older then dirt and her father is a little uncomfortable, but at least willing to take it. Then, somehow, the parties switch. Her mother is all for it, but the father is against it because Jenny said something hurtful. Speaking of hurtful, why did Kitty leave Jenny hanging when she told her parents the news? What was that all about? All and all, kind of eh.
