Pavandeep S (ru) wrote: I feel that the entire mid-section of the movie was sloppily shot with little or no thought to set design and art direction, it feels stale compared to the other parts. The concept is fascinating, fantasy getai mix with a rivalry of fruits, I mean, it should not go wrong, but sloppily done frankly.

Don S (ag) wrote: A confusing movie that gives you nothing in the way of back story, provides characters you couldn't care less about working for companies you know nothing about. The motivation for these companies doing what they do would have been really nice to know. The plot elements are unbelievable; I could have gotten past that - this is science fiction after all. The ending, while heart-warming, is totally cliche. Not worth your time.

Sanity Assassin (de) wrote: a bit of a peckinpah failiure if you ask me. tons of great actors to utilise yet wasted in a film where the romance scenes were drawn out, not captivating in the slightest, and with the action sequences poorly orchestrated and filmed it's gotta be my least favourite peckinpah film
Bruce B (br) wrote: Before "The Blob" there was X-The Unknown, a creepy, scary film by Hammer, the makers of the Quatermass series. Radioactive mud rises to the surface to terrorize soldiers and residents of a scottish village. As it is radioactive several victims succomb to burns and worse while it is on the prowl for radiation that makes it grow even larger. While the special effects are dated it can still send a chill through you with the melting scenes and the longest scream I ever heard in a sci-fi film. Decent script and excellent acting by american actor Dean Jagger and british actors Leo Mckern and Edward Chapman help to make this film well worth the rental. 3 Stars 1-16-13
