Dan L (nl) wrote: Vivid insight into the struggles and humanity of illegal immigrants.

Erin K (de) wrote: Best film about the significance of health and the truth about cancer treatment

Spencer H (us) wrote: Lady in the Water is a boring and not good movie, first of Shyamalan's cold streak.

Cade H (it) wrote: I was a little skeptical going in to this entry in the Hellraiser series, simply because of the title Deader. They made up a word to describe a group of people who kill themselves and then bring themselves back to life. It all barely tied into the Hellraiser world and what did, made little sense. It focused on one girl, a reporter who started out trying to get a story and then things just went all over the place from there. The acting was weak, the special effects were decent but the overall plot was frenzied and boring. At times they tried to be scary with some jump scares and creepy settings, but it did not achieve the desired result. This is one of the weakest entries in the series and is skippable if your wanting to try and watch the entire series, like I am.

Axel G (us) wrote: This is without a doubt my most hated film of all time. I cannot describe in words my feelings towards this (biggest) piece of crap. I will hunt the film makers down and use harsh methods to punish these bastards, avoid.... avoid like the black plauqe.

Private U (es) wrote: Ken Russell is properly mental. This was the only thing on between MOTD2/Heroes and Arrested Development but had shovels of innuendo and a strangely jumpy plot.Saved by Amanda Donohoe's baps. Lots of times.

Daniel C (ag) wrote: Amazing wealth of thought and information about postwar painters from the painters themselves. If you want to understand the works and how they were conceived, this film can be watched over and over again.

David C (gb) wrote: The movie starts slowly from what I remember, but that would appear to be its only weakness. It also surprised me in the sense that I felt the TV show Hawaii Five O must have been inspired by the second half of this film.

ray r (ca) wrote: Great idealistic movie. I love James Stewart. He's enthusiasm & charm is infectious & he is a joy to watch on screen. He gives you hope and makes you dream and he seems like a old friend. Then you turn off the movie and youre back in your shitty pathetic fuck hole life again. Great movie and a classic. Sit down with your kids and watch this ..... and if you dont have kids then kidnap someone elses and force them to watch it with you like youre all one big happy family. Theyll thank you for it when then movies over -as youre been taken away by the police.

Ryan F (br) wrote: I thought that DeNiro gave a great and strong performance in this movie as did James Woods. I do, though, think that this movie would have benefited strongly if it were shorter. They could have easily taken off an hour and a half to bring the run time down to two and a half hours and I think it would have been a MUCH better movie. The movie was a good movie, but the 4 hour run time made it long, and to be honest, redundant.

Ana B (ca) wrote: Brian is a loving husband and father and, despite his wife(TM)s disapproval, he never forgets his best friend Jerry, a brilliant man that lost everything when he became a heroin addict. Brian suddenly dies in a senseless act of violence, leaving his widow and his two kids sunken in sorrow. In a desperate attempt to overcome grief Audrey invites Jerry to stay in the outhouse until he can get his life settled. An interesting interaction between them four starts but can they get over Brian(TM)s memory? And can Jerry get rid of his problem? This is the sort of movie that is based almost uniquely in actor performances. In here we find a believable story and good dialogues, but if they weren(TM)t delivered by the right set of actors the movie would have been absolutely worthless and untruthful. Luckily they got a pair of good performers that give this tale of grief and addiction an edge of likeness. I think the whole cast is convincing, neither overacting nor underplaying their roles; but I believe Benicio del Toro is outstanding portraying Jerry, He seems very comfortable in the skin of a man fighting emotional loss and heroin addiction at the same time.Direction is good too, tying it all together in this touching and uplifting drama about love and friendship.
