Off the Grid: Life on the Mesa torrent reviews

Matthew D (es) wrote: Doom isn't as clever as it could be in the execution of its super-powered battles or exploring their consequences. But the choreography is still gut-wrenching in its action and the cast is perhaps the finest ensemble ever gathered for a superhero film, the voice-work shines in the smattering of personal moments, that it keep just about entertaining enough up til the final confrontation. If only the climax didn't dissipate what had been built up with a set piece that breaks credulity and the laws of physics even by superhero story standards.

Roger T (it) wrote: Horribly good movie. Not for the weak at heart.

Benjamin (de) wrote: Lacey Chaberts acting is good but the others arent worth mentioning but the divorce lawyer is a hottie but other than that this movie is plain, boring and just seriously crazy mental. I would watch it again though cause its a fun mental movie

Chris A (gb) wrote: I probably need to see it a few more times to full appreciate it, but I did find it quite funny and at the very least, it's original.

Jim F (ca) wrote: I really liked the father character in this. He was flawed in a way. At first just thought , asshole, but became actually more curious with regards to his complicated personality. I liked the way Justin reconnects with Rebecca, and tags along with their pot smoking progression. It helps them become closer. Very good watch

Lucas B (jp) wrote: This was very exciting to watch.

Abid A (br) wrote: I couldn't recall the name of this movie, I had seen almost 5 years ago. I remembered enough to put the pieces together and find out the name. At the time it made a huge impact on me and moved me emotionally. This is the first movie that I am giving 5 stars to, because no other movie did to me what this movie did. It truly deserves all the compliments it gets, because even exaggeration isn't enough.

Forrest K (es) wrote: I'd heard this was a weaker addition to the Hammer library, and I can see why it might be disappointing to some, as the title is a complete misnomer, and the film has nothing to do with Dracula. However, I think there's plenty to like in this dark fairy tale about an aging queen who bathes in the blood of virgins to restore her youth. While the plot is perhaps a bit thin, ultimately it's a compelling tragedy of jealousy, lust and humanity's obsession with youth.

Caleb M (au) wrote: A bad film, a great early stoner comedy. It loses it's focus towards the end, but the majority of he film is a wacky, winking, light comedy. Definitely not a 'high' point for Sellers, but good for what it is.

Michael T (us) wrote: Colorful Paramount musicomedy based on the hit Irving Berlin stage show; the film version loses most of the music, and the hit song ("It's a Lovely Day Tomorrow") is heard mostly in the background. Moore, Zorina and Bordoni repeat their stage roles, and Hope spoofs Jimmy Stewart's filibuster from MR. SMITH GOES TO WASHINGTON.

Alan L (ca) wrote: The film starts out promising and Daniel Radcliffe's performance actually keeps it from getting a lower score. However the pacing of the film somewhat ruins it.None of the characters have any level of respect for each other, to the extent that it gets absolutely ridiculous and implausible, with the final chapter being entirely unsatisfying. It can't seem to make up its mind as to whether its slapstick comedy, fantasy or a detective story. It feels a little bit of a let down as it would have been nice to see daniel radcliffes character going through a journey of discovery both whilst picking up clues about the killer and about himself. But sadly it misses the mark.Should you give it a miss? I'd suggest it.
