rusty a (us) wrote: I thought this was a decent film. Not great, and sometimes boring, but overall I was good. Johnny Depp was good so I don't understand all the bad reviews he got. The story wasn't particularly well thought out or written so I think that's the biggest downfall to this film.

Colin S (br) wrote: Having never read these growing up, I had little idea of what to expect, and found it like possibly many viewers to be a rollicking adventure with amazing use of mo-cap. I'm still left wondering where the female voices are, and with possibly an even larger question of "How old is Tintin supposed to be anyway?" Nonetheless Bell is a compelling hero, Craig shows his diverse colours in the villainy, and Serkis' moves are better than ever even if he is mostly human this time around.

William W (it) wrote: Though this isn't the very best movie made from Saturday Night Live skits and characters (that would be a tossup between 'The Blues Brothers' and the two 'Wayne's World' entries), this is definitely top-tier and in the best five ever made. Laraine Newman and Jane Curtin were very underrated as comediennes, and the unsung heroes that held the cast together during its excellent run of the early days. What's hardly ever talked about, when it comes to movies based on SNL skits, is how important the supporting players are. 'Coneheads' undoubtedly has the strongest supporting cast of any of them, and while director Barron has hardly become a household name in terms of movies (only this and 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' really hit the radar), his prowess on some of the greatest music videos of all time (ie., Dire Straits' 'Money for Nothing', Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean' and A-Ha's 'Take On Me') was picture-perfect for the comedic set-pieces here. Definitely worth at least a watch, here in the 21st-century.

Chad D (br) wrote: Brandauer gives a tour-de-force performance in this story of an actor who reluctantly assimilates to Nazism. Well acted and shot, though I prefer Bertolucci's The Conformist.

Alexandra W (es) wrote: Dissatisfying. After Scarlet Street I was expecting Joan Bennett to be femme fataling it up, but this movie was devoid of that, not to mention anything else exciting.

Kieran L (es) wrote: Not Allen's finest but he captures Ricci's sexy callousness brilliantly as Amanda who reminds me all too much of the girl I was with at Falk's age
