Kate A (ag) wrote: I don't like to make harsh reviews about child actors, so I will be harsh about the people that cast him. DO NOT put a kid that doesn't have what it takes in the main role just because he is your son, because he is just going to be humiliated.

Ben R (us) wrote: The action in this movie is great but the story is weak at best. The way the 2 people survive everything by the skin of there death is sickening as u see many people die and somehow they survive that's why I believe it only deserves 3 stars

Gianluca B (fr) wrote: Interessante. Fluisce malinconicamente come un fiume in piena, ma difficilmente appassiona.

Rachel S (de) wrote: Not really 100% historically accurate, but the performances are amazing and the story itself should be interesting to many, not just art history fans.

The storyline for this picture is uneven but contains some great characters and acting. The plot is okay, but it is the acting that makes this film worthwhile. Adrian Z (ru) wrote: This psychological thriller marks Clint Eastwood's debut as a director. Eastwood himself plays a late night DJ who has a brief affair with a fan (Walter), who turns out to be a very dangerous stalker. When Eastwood wants to return to his former lover ( Mills) tension ensues. Walter is very effective as the stalker, in fact she steals the film from Eastwood, who seems a little odd in his role. Of course, Eastwood went on to build an illustrious career as a director, but in his debut there are some issues: during some of the violent scenes Eastwood borrows liberally from Hitchcock's Psycho, but rather than enhance the tone of the picture with an appropriately dramatic score, the film is too jazz heavy. Granted, it's souce music from the radio, but it's jarring to have scenes of great suspense diluted by having a bright jazz number running in the background. Another oddity is the choice of garishly green-coloured, weirdly shaped graphics for the film's titles and end credits roll.
