Disgusting and highly unlikely film about Geller and Baldwin being editors (yeah I know, ridiculous isn't it) and getting it on (yeah I know ridiculous and highly nauseous isn't it - Hollywoods perverted obsession with 20 plus age gaps continues...). Maggie Grace and Chris Cormack are in it... yes it's that shit.

(jp) wrote: An orphaned boy (played by Christian Bale) lives with his resentful aunt and he is picked on by the neighborhood boys. He is given a magic apple by a local shopkeep and is transported to a mystical world where he finds his dad is king. Things are all good until he learns of a knight (Evil Sender) who kidnaps kids to turn them to slaves. So he has to battle the bad man. Though based on an older novel, this appears to have been made to capitalize on the success of Neverending Story, (though its not on par). Interestingly, it was partly produced and filmed in the USSR. Pretty good locations and not terrible effects.

(us) wrote: I watch all Vampire movies. Read all the books too. It is one of my favourite story genres. And this movie really surprised me with the depth and characterization. Even if you are just interested in post apocalypse type stories this is a good one... about the decay of civilization when it falls apart.

(br) wrote: A stylish and perfectly executed homage to classic Film Noir. The plot is full of twists and turns that keep you guessing throughout and build to a shocking climax. DeCubellis is a rare talent that knows how to direct both actors and the camera because both Adrien Brody and Campbell Scott do their best work in years in this movie. This movie is a gift to people who love movies. It works on the level of a modern day suspense thriller and also a classically structured gritty crime melodrama. Both Old School and New School at the same time.
