William M (es) wrote: Odd ball romantic comedy that is familiar so if you are in the mood for an off beat rom com then have a watch it is average but I enjoyed the cast and the difference in not using the standard grade actors for this style film. It also doesn't take itself serious good directing.

Nandita A (kr) wrote: it would have been more fun if i could have watch the 3d version of this movie

Hoyee L (ag) wrote: This movie was excellent. The thing I didn't realize was that Ip Man had an adopted brother, Tai Chi, who at the end turn on his brother and the wing chub school where they trained.

Courtney K (ru) wrote: i didn't like it as much as i thought i would. it's a similar plot to other films i've seen and sadly this one wasn't executed quite as well.

Brett A (ca) wrote: The movie that started the franchise. A lot of fun but dated a bit now. Interesting characters, although rather two dimensional. Still.... love it.

David Z (gb) wrote: The climax of the film, the moment when the son of the infamous dentist who hid with Anne's family meets the woman who hid them from the Nazis, showcases everything that this movie gets right. The genuine conversations, the talking head sequences, the moments we spend with actual human beings, are often heart-wrenching and revelatory. The narrations, the pan shots of props and photos, all ring surprisingly sterile though.

Chris Z (mx) wrote: An entertaining film with strange, but captivating characters. Very dark comedy

Sean D (it) wrote: Grease has finally been watched by me! And as hoped by my few fans out there, I gave it a very favorable review. There's a certain element of charm to Grease. Such as horrible and awkwardly hillarious singing and overacting by John Travolta. But clearly, it has always and will be intentional. His character is shy and shallow and times and continuously goofy and nervous around his love interest, as is Olivia Newton-John in her own way around him.Thr film, can be considered a drama but the elements are quite non-existent; otherwise, I'd like to consider this a Musical Coming-of-age Teen Romantic Comedy. The film has a great plot, it's not generic, even for the time. It doesn't end with the high school prom, but it does go through a whole year of high school with characters ranging from most likely grade 11 to upperclassmen. This film is one of the earliest coming-of-age films and in general set the stage for the high school musical series to arrive in years later, in a lot of ways that series and many other musicals cannot top Grease's pacing which can possibly only he topped by the likes of films like the original Annie. Like a lot of musicals in the '90s, they don't shove down your throat musical numbers in this film. The film does character development so well it's unbelievable. The main characters get their time as expected, but so do the supporting characters and some of them, you really get to understand and enjoy. This film does a lot of things right that even musicals or high school films lose the charm or essence that was taught in this film. Clearly, the critics say the 2nd film alone can't touch this film. This is a cult classic. Everyone needs to see it at least one. This is a film you use for film studies. Grease sets the bar ridiculously high for other films to come. Grease is purely amazing and one my favorite musicals of all time, I can't say enough good things about it. I'm so glad that I finally got a chance to see it!

Vincent P (de) wrote: It doesn't become obvious that it's supposed to be a comedy until late in the game. That or Brit humor just eludes my grasp. Still, there's a few decent offings and you get to see Diana Riggs going bra-less and Vincent Price with an afro, so a viewing isn't a total waste of one's life!

Thomas B (kr) wrote: Steve Carell is adequate enough, better at times, while Juliette Binoche provides some welcome conflict and a wonderful range. Full review later.

Jeff S (au) wrote: Very good, enjoyed it a lot. Saw on Netflix and I would recommend to others.

Ryan T (ca) wrote: One of the few well adapted SNL to film skits, Waynes World was Mike Myers at his best. Creative, well developed, lovable characters that related to the audience and still made us laugh with their quirky reactions to awkward situations. Party on!

Chris C (ru) wrote: Funny and irresistibly charming, What Women Want is another example of director Nancy Meyers' entertaining and touching direction and delivers a solid comedic performance from Mel Gibson.
