Shaun M (de) wrote: In tackling one of the most divisive and complex subjects that human society has ever seen - abortion - Tony Kaye has crafted a sympathetic documentary that gives an unbiased treatment to both sides of the debate, and never escapes the grim reality of the situation by including real footage of abortions. Despite a lengthy run time, this is a densely-packed film that delivers no easy solutions and evokes the tendancy for the abortion argument to become "black and white" through its beautiful monochrome cinematography.

Danielle H (au) wrote: Dane Cook does a bad job at making viewers laugh at life as a bulk store employee. The plot centers around him, a box boy, putting up with a douchebag coworker that's been employee of the month for 17 months. Right before the 18th month that would promote the douchebag to manager, Jessica Simpson is hired and not-so-shockingly becomes the focus of both guys. Good concept for a movie that was poorly written. Didn't laugh once.

Talyn M (jp) wrote: Campy and stupid, a great film to put on for a Halloween party. Some of the lines made me smile and some of the visuals and costumes are actually kind of cool, but watching the story closely, you'll realize there are a lot of gaps in the story (Van Helsing's ambiguous background) that are never really addressed beyond planting the seeds of *something* and a so-so performance by Beckinsale. Despite that, I still managed to feel Helsing and Anna's chemistry, and I very much enjoyed the friar Carl as comedic relief. Basically the viewer-insert of "the hell is that, the hell are you?! Oh God, let's not.." Overall it's a harmless film that a more serious viewer will probably mercilessly poke holes into it, but a more casual viewer may derive more entertainment from it.
