Outlaws and Angels
A gang of cold-blooded outlaws narrowly escapes a blood-soaked bank robbery in a grimy frontier town. With a notorious bounty hunter hot on their trail, these nefarious criminals desperately need a place to hide out before night falls. Fate brings them to the home of the Tildons, a seemingly innocent family with two feisty daughters. As the men settle in, an impetuous game of cat and mouse plays out during the cold, black night. Come morning, nothing will ever be the same.

(br) wrote: Insanely predictable, but it is a holiday movie. Not too bad, there were just some moments where the acting was a bit played out and dramatic compared to the rest of the movie.

(jp) wrote: Such a dumb yet funny movie. The concept was great and the acting was okay, but this was good in the 80's but its very outdated and annoyingly predictable. It wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be.
(br) wrote: really good thriller.. Mellisa George acted really well. The whoel setup was very well presented and it was basically an edge of the seat thriller. Much better than expected. I have not seen any movie of this director before but am imprssed with her work in this one.
(ca) wrote: One of the most original action-adventures made in the 1980's but sadly it's image has been destroyed by it's more than pathetic sequels. Extra plus comes from the soundtrack made by Queen.

(br) wrote: Great flick about love, hate, deception and power. The directing is very aesthetic, minimalism is in order. The end is very melodramatic (korean's love it). Really nice performance from the actors. Not a must see but good entertainment.

Starring ratpackers Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Shirley MacLaine, this film from the novel by James Jones must certainly be one of the bleakest views of American life ever put on celluloid. Vincente Minnelli as always shows what a master filmmaker he was. Is it possible that he also directed MEET ME IN ST LOUIS and GIGI? A true genius!
(ru) wrote: There are better film-noirs around but this one is still one of the better ones. Altho i think they could have stretched the mystery a bit longer to make it more suspencefull but it was great anyhow. The chase scenes are very suspencefull. Some of the characters are shown pretty human but that counts only for the leading roles, the supporting roles had to do it with less humanity and feelings. But overall its a pretty good film-noir with great acting performances, a great story, suspence, mystery and good directing except in some scenes.
